Anyone have a pic of their hmmwv in two man truck configuration, but with both the B and C pillars still installed? I'm just wondering how this would look and I can't find any pics of same. Thanks.
What sort of precautions need to be taken with the two piece wheel design on the HMMWV? My truck in waiting has 12 bolt rims and worn out tires, so I bought a set of 24 bolt rims with tires and run flats already installed. I've never messed with two piece rims, but I've read many horror stories...
This is a pretty neat idea you had and I intend to look into it as well. Do you think that receiver hitch will attach to the existing holes on a rear airlift bumper?
I had no idea there was any ballistic protection. Something is better than nothing. Where can replacement window glass be purchased? I'd want to get replacment ballistic glass if that is what comes standard with the non-uparmored X Doors.
Also, I am guessign there is no easy back and forth...
Is there a way to make soft doors work with with X door strikers? Also, what are X Doors made of and do they offer any ballistic protection without any armor added to them?
I have been waiting for cool stuff all my life (NFA items, bar exam results et al.), so waiting for something as cool and hard to get as a HMMWV is something I am willing to do.
Thanks. I am a complete noob when it comes to electricity. What does that mean in when dumbed down for me? Would I be better off getting a 400 amp model? What is involved with doing that upgrade?
I won an auction recently for a M1038 with the 6.5 and a 60 amp alternator. What are my options with running things that need power with this setup? Can I run a winch, CB, change my telephone, etc?
Purchase 2/17
EUC submitted to Gov Planet 2/17
EUC submitted to TSC and marked pending 2/25
It's my first purchase and I hate waiting, but I'm prepared.
I understand capitalism and I love it! Now that there is an increased demand for parts, I am hoping that some of the companies that make Jeep doors and tops will enter the Humvee market. I'd love to have an aftermarket hardtop that doesn't look like a helmet top and fits like a four man...
