    M916-M920 Tech & Tips

It is all in what you are trying to do, this will dictate the amount of work that is going to need to be done. Top plate will have to be changed out, it is set up for a 3.5' kingpin. I think the top of the plate, off the cuff, is between 56"-64" from ground level. If you use a civi trailer...

    Cat 3116

A refurb lower on the cat 3116 from the dealership will run you roughly about 17K and thats with you also donating what good parts are left to rebuild your engine. I bought a M35A3 for the engine to pull it and use it on another truck and so started my addiction!!! auaauaaua

    925 5 ton question - CDL Required?

TN is changing alot of the requirements for this year. You will have to have a specific endorsement if you have a F450 and 10,001 # trailer in tow. This is just one of the ones I know of. Good news is they have a school now for your CDL at exit 188 on I-40.

    925 5 ton question - CDL Required?

Also, as stated before, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Fines are steep, Jail time sucks and doesn't get better no matter how many times you go, and keeping your license is a plus to . Just study for it, school, what ever it takes!!! Do it Right!!! Take...

Ok, so I may have used the incorrect wording here, DETRIMENTAL may be overkill. Yes air cleaner will have to be replaced more often. OEM filter is $50-$100 +/- to replace, just my thoughts on it.

    5 Ton saving a D5 Caterpillar

Well done sir, WELL DONE  As a side note, not trying to go on a rabbit trail here, but I am, recovery operations are a art form to some degree. When done properly, they are safe and calculated. Some other things that can be done to increase safety is to weight the winch cables. If your...

I like the idea you have in mind, however, be careful as to what you strip off the exhaust system on the A3, can or could be detrimental to the overall performance of the engine. I like the clean job that was done with this 900 series!!! I appreciate the fact you have done something to the...

Little Bit of Smoke in the Morning, is it Normal??

all mine do, just pay attention. If its continuing to do it after normal operating temp ranges are reached and as you are going down the road than it could be a issue, you will need to "read" the smoke. A little bit in the morning in cold weather is nothing to fret over. It is a diesel after...
