what i would like to know about "all metal" and "lab metal" and metal based products like that is if you can use them to smooth out weld and then powder coat over it?

I paid $4100 for a 2007 rebuilt m818 w/w out of eastover last aug. it had 500 miles and 30 hrs! Not a thing wrong with it at all! I also bought a wo/w truck from the same place a month later for $2500. cant see spending $9000 from gl but thats just me
can you please help me out with the year of my truck? i would really appreciate it as i am trying to get info for the sf97/title. not sure if it is an army truck or what... heard it might be coast guard???

im not sure, im not too familiar with all the military terminology sorry. it came from eastover sc and i purchased it from gl in august 2010 and euc cleared 2.5 months later so i received it late october 2010.
is there a way to decipher the year of my truck from the vin or nsn number? i have searched and searched but cant find anything. my truck was recently bought from gl out of eastover but is missing the data plate on the dash. any help is appreciated.

ok well i guess im going to try to have the paint store match something closer. I just need to touch up a few spots but dont want to reshoot the entire truck to accomplish this
ranchhopper- this is the truck im touching up but my other truck was recently rebuilt back in 2007 with new paint and the works and they are almost identical in color so i dont think thats the issue. maybe tho.
i picked up some krylon camo ultra flat khaki color and it wasnt even close. my truck is more of a yellowish tan and the krylon was a browner tan. thats why im having a hard time because its not the normal desert sand tan color.
I recently bought 2 m818s out of eastover sc. i am looking for a tan to match the color that they currently are to do some touch up but im having a hard time finding it. its not the normal "desert sand" tan color. its a lot lighter. any help is appreciated.
