devilman96:
Thanks! [thumbzup] When ya say dual voltage, are ya meaning dual alt or the Hummer set up? :? At this point in time, the Frog is on the sale blocks, but ya never know. It's NOT something we want to do. We'll keep it if I can pull another rabbit outa my butt (I just don't feel...
To be more specific, there was a post a while back to where a 12 volt alt was added to run the toys, and have a 3 battery set up. The 2 needed for 24v, and the 3rd for the 12v. There were even pictures posted and diagrams. I started looking (search) for the one from Devilman96, but couldn't get...
Hey:
I KNOW this was discussed before, but I did a search and can't find it. About adding an extra 12 volt alt to run toys. Can someone with a better memory post a link?
TIA

Chuck:
Thanks for your imput. [thumbzup] I too have dealt with deciphering laws into plain English aua , and have worked several fraud cases. Just goes to show ya there's always something new to learn. It makes perfect sense about the car theft rings, something I never really gave much thought...
Chuck:
As to NOT force you to rehash what you already wrote MANY times, I did do the search and read what you posted. That in itself was no east feat, locating it all. Now I am a bit more confused. So, the SF97 is NOT a title? Hmmm, because GL told me it was.
At this point in time I have...
Maxim:
Like Frank said, if it's 4WD, it's military. I don't think they made any pre WW II Carryalls, and IF they did, it more than likely be 2WD. They DID make civilian panel trucks though.

Hi Dan:
Are you talking about the rims for a WC or for a M 37? The WC's had a solid ring and the M's had the split rim. Both types are still out there.

Hi Lee:
In retrospect I can laugh now. At the time, it coulda gotten REAL serious. Oh yeah, got a new top, replaced the windshield and seals around it. I really don't want to get rid of it. Even the wife (although she's STILL pissed I didn't discuss getting with her 1st) said she doesn't...
Hi Lee:
I had posted a sorta novel about my experience getting the Frog (and how it got that name) here a while ago, but to make a long story even longer, I almost ended up in the stockade over at Portsmouth because of the Rent A Cops there  . I wasn't even allowed on base, but snuck in...
rcadick:
I got mine thru GL too. Winning bid was $2700.00, then add their extras. Had to have it towed off base (LONG STORY + it needed work). After new batteries and brake work, drove it 1400 miles home (it gets better mileage than my Durango). There was 4K miles on a DoD rebuild when I got...
A Touchy Subject
In the past, I had an in with a friend at Rustoleum. I would get theur rust convertor by the case for the BEST price you could imagine. That stuff worked great on my Jeep.
With some of the convertors/encapsulators, you just apply with no prep at all. It turns into a black...
Hi Serp:
It looks as if I'll be joining the club with you guys for not the same reasons, but the same reasons, MONEY! In all honesty though, if we do sell ours, we won't be getting another as our interests are more WW II orientated, so it's have to be a CCKW. I hope things change here...
Dixmotorpool:
Things may have changed since back in the day, but ALL the deuce's I've ever seen, the stakes/posts are just supposed to drop in and pull out. Mine refused to come out at 1st, but a lot of silicon spray and weather change helped the problem.
Later & Good Luck
