Im such a Newb.....NOW I know a V100 exists.....AND the skill to customize like this is genetic not learned!!!!
Well done so far...a dream come true indeed! ! !
IF you start a new post with the build....update the link here so we know where to go!!!
I say go even deeper...make it a dually too....OK you don't have to but I would love too
Awesome pics BTW
HAHA.....Tks Recovery......I guess I have been focused on the front end...never looked under the back ! ! ! !
It there....at least I don't have to find another spare rim.
Does an M1010 actually come with a spare??......now that I think of it, I don't have a spare ! !
(Oh well, I guess I need to be driving it to worry about that)
If anyone has pics of their set up..post away and let us learn
Maddawg308,
I thought it was M105 at first from the ad I bought it...but the plate is M104 CDN and dated 1988 year of manufacture I saw after I had it home.
It has front and rear tailgates and full bows/tarp doors etc...I have an earlier post of it when I first got it.
91W350....the threaded...
HI M1031 I wish.......I bought it local in Toronto off an online classified (not sure if I can mention names here) and what another member here told me that my truck AND trailer were just bought at auction and sold to me....unfortunately for me it was WAY more than the seller paid for them, SO...
Here was my solution...I didn't feel comfortable making the pintle hitch so high without good support so I dropped the lunette ring on the trailer.
Mine is Canadian so the ring is not the same it seems.

Hey Zout...good catch...I guess the pics I uploaded were before I added the extra chains before I towed it.
I just picked up some quick links and chain to lengthen the originals without removing the hooks.
Should be better that way....thanks for the advice.
I finally had a break in the weather and work and completed my fabrication for the trailer pintle hitch.
I made up some spacers out of 1/4" wall rectangular tube and used some B7 treaded rod to attach everything back in place just 10" lower
so I could just hook right up to one of my trucks...
WOW...I thought how is that beast gona be on the tight roads in Europe...but after reading the post how the the SUBURBAN gona be??!!!
When you get them lined up shoot us a nice family picture!!!
.....I checked out the disc brake links and this is def a mod that the M1010 would benifit from due to the weight of that box...I guess I have to verify the rear end in it to make sure, I think in the TM it shows the M1010 with only 1 rear end option but now I cant find it...anyone out there do...
Great advice...my mechanic hasn't done the pump for my M1010 yet (free favor) as the weather warms I may have to do this my self.
Looked over the TM's....some Utube vids and it doesn't seem that hard.
I really like when members document and report as the go on the repair, if I end up doing this...
....an idea, is there a section in the forum, where each GL location is listed and whom ever does PU from there can post?
(if this is a good idea...someone make the section AND make one for getting what is allowed into Canada or at least the boarder!!!! I would help from this end)
Thanks Warthog...Im gona copy it when Im at the shop and PM you....
So far from those options, not looking likely that they are part of the breed!!!
I can dream I guess!!! or just break out the flat paint
I have a question about the modern CUCV's....
Are there any SPID info codes in the glove box that show if the vehicle have any mil spec options?
Reason I am asking is because in Canada I have a few late model trucks that were from our government but
don't look like the CUCV or LSSV etc.... one...
