So, CARNAC, What have you done to your TANK today/lately?
Have you run the VIN yet to find out what unit it came from?
If nothing comes back it could be possible that you have one of the rare Air Force M1A1s purchased by mistake when a personnel specialist transposed two digits on the NSN of a...
I got one of the M1009s at Nellis last week...My newer 1986 model. I will be in the area next week for a Front Sight course, but dont know if I will get the chance to go see my truck.
My first EUC took something like 70 days last summer, this one should be faster for me.
Check Incredilion's...
My two year old lets me take him for rides in his truck.
$35 for two years registration.
I can buy another one to match for about $2000
Camo sticks out in a large parking lot.
Go GREEN! and brown......and black!
Ditto that! It does not seem to be worth the money and effort to destroy an M1010. You could get more than $1500 selling it on eBay or here. Then go buy the truck you want.
I got my LED Bolts installed
I installed my LED bolts today. They were described as white lights but they do have a bit of a blue color, and they probably light up the ground better than the plate, but they are adequate and I am satisfied with the result. The photos in the dark make it look...
Wow! Nice. And I thought the stories of trucks in underground storage were just stories.
And it even comes with a dash that matches the rest of the interior...not all cracked up or light blue.
Drive it and enjoy it.
Is it still under warranty with GM?:)
How bad of shape could it be in if it was driven to it's current location and now has a bad tire?
The SF97 IS transferable, as this is what GL does. When you get one from them it is made out to GL and they include a notarized release transferring it to the buyer. Get one from the seller. Or...
I find that after the pump kicks off for the first time I can usually top it off with another 2.5 gallons if I want to spend the time adding a little at a time and let the foam go down.
How much is a "bad" transfer case leak?
If the wife keeps complaining about it. And this may limit your chances of her okaying another MV purchase because you are not allowed to have another ugly truck leaking oil or some other fluid in the driveway, you might want to fix it.:)
There has been a few CUCV2s on GL in recent months, but not in running or even good condition. There is one guy here that has a nice one he picked up in Europe...search this site for it and any others. You find there are not many in private hands...good luck.
Here is an undated article that...
Probably only want the light on when the running lights are on, so the tail light (not brake light) power would probably be a good choice. Could also connect it to the running light power on the trailer hitch wiring. I'm still waiting for my LED bolts to arrive to do this wiring and get my...
Hey,
There was also two M1031s at Barstow on Thursday. I had bid on one but was not at the computer when they closed. Both looked nice in the ads, though one was noted to have that special drive shaft treatment. 25K mile one (with bent shaft) went for $2501, and 48K mile one went for $2520.
Search the -20 for "oil cooler" and you will find pictures and instructions on how to change the hoses. Mine were leaking at the radiator end of the hoses. One was fixed by replacing the o-ring seal (a $3 part at your local GM dealer). The other was not so simple and continued to leak after...
I used a 1 inch square steel tube bolted at the existing bolts holes on the bumper. I'm waiting for some LED bolts I ordered and then I'll paint the tube before I install them. More pics then (and maybe I'll have a real license plate too)
Prices were nice, on the high end something like $2500, most below $2K. You can look them up on GL.
One decent looking runner with 30K miles went for $1750! I thought about bidding, but it's just too far away, shipping was the deal breaker.
One more thing....as soon as the truck is off the GL lot you can order the SF97, which takes about 30 days to get to you. But make sure the info is accurate especially the VIN (which I had verified with the dealership who also pointed out that it was a 1985 not an 84 as advertised by GL) or...
