    XL15.5/80R/20 tires on Deuce

The original 900's probably would have just kept slidingrofl Seriously, I'm sure the CG has some effect but like Gimpy said, had it not been for the tires, he wouldn't have been there anyway. The isn't any benefit that doesn't have a drawback. You just have to compensate accordingly.

I am trying to find a way to get more cab space out of mu deuce.

Is that the stock bed just moved back just enough to accommodate the sleeper?

Crew cab M35 taking a dump on air

Makes sense... bottoms out the suspension to negate any side-to-side travel?

Crew cab M35 taking a dump on air

I had a thought similar that using Dodge diesel front coil springs. They should be able to support plenty of weight and if you ever wanted to lift the truck, there are lift springs available commercially.

I am trying to find a way to get more cab space out of mu deuce.

I say leave it, add the sleeper on. I got curious and found a sleeper near me for $600obo. If you add on a sleeper and don't like the extra bed hanging over, cut it off after taking a look. I think the sleeper is a really good idea. It's easier than adding in a crew cab.

On top of it all, if it turns out that you do not like the bed hanging over 3'... it's always easier to cut it off then instead of trying to add it back on if you change your mind the other way.

I am trying to find a way to get more cab space out of mu deuce.

I wouldn't consider the bed hanging out 3' to be much longer. I think it would be a perfect combination of what you're trying to do.

I am trying to find a way to get more cab space out of mu deuce.

How unrealistic is it to just move the bed back 36" (leaving it the stock length) and then adding the sleeper?

M35 (and other MV) Roadside Assistance list

I wasn't going to limit it to just the Deuce forum. I'm only getting it started here. I wasn't sure how slammed I would be with new info. It's better, for me, to do it in stages instead of being slammed all at once. So, if anyone wants to pass on this thread to the other areas, I think we...

    How to..... Transmission Changeout.

I bought my hoist used for $100, it's a collapsible kind. Works great for all kinds of heavy deuce parts too... wheel/tire combos, axle parts, etc.

    How to..... Transmission Changeout.

I used an engine hoist through the passenger side door. It has JUST enough reach, but reinstalling it is a chore. I've dropped my trans twice now. The second time around, by myself, was 5 hours (with some troubles) from start to replacing the rear main seal. I think it took me another 4-5...

I don't completely disagree with you on that, but karma can be a B. I was also kind of assuming that most people here wouldn't have the gall to ask for help when not offering it to others.

M35 (and other MV) Roadside Assistance list

I need an e-mail address to add people to the viewing list. Even if you don't want to participate, but want access to the list, give me an e-mail. I didn't realize how Google Docs worked. I have no problem maintaining the list if someone wants to give it a more convenient home?
