For low pressure, I've just taken an air hose with a blower nozzle on it and stuck it in the the fuel filler hole and stuffed rags around it. You need two people usually to do this (unless you're really good with the rags), but you also don't have to remove or modify anything. You don't really...
I got one of the overhead consoles from Those Military Guys. It gave me a dome light, speaker for music (with an amp, it's good quality so goes plenty loud enough to hear clearly in the truck even through ear plugs), cigarette lighter plug as well as some circuit breaker protected 12v switches...
Do you know offhand if 4 group 31s would fit under the seat? I've been meaning to measure, but I'm almost afraid to mess with stuff when it's 40 or 50 below... so easy to break things. With the temps I deal with sometimes, you can never have too many CCA.
I have a set of extensions and connectors off a truck I'll get pictures of if you can wait a week for me to get back to Georgia. The extensions are still bolted to a winch, but I should be able to get some decent pictures of the parts that are harder to see on a truck.
I had taken a bunch of pictures of the installation of the heater on a truck that was up at a local auction (not gov liq) last year. Truck must've been run at a mine and wasn't in very good shape, but it did have an original heater... so then the sd card on my phone died and I've lost those...
You have the video set to not allow embedded play on other websites, so a message pops up saying it must be watched on youtube. Change that setting on the video and it'll play.
There's a thread just a few lines down on the front page about the larger tire sizes on the front using A2 rims from the sound of it

Capt Jon, thanks a lot for all the information. It's good to get some first hand accounts.
At around -40 the rope still works pretty normally. Cable gets even stiffer. I can handle the cold a lot easier than I can heat, especially now.
Amsteel makes various grades of rope, I'm looking at...
I got lucky and my truck came with a good amount of stuff in the tool boxes (they had padlocks on them).
I can't believe that no one has mentioned duct tape. Don't skimp on quality. I also like to carry electrical tape in case I find a wire that had been rubbing.
Can't stress enough...
I was hoping someone would chime in on that. If I can step the rope down a size I can put a whole lot more line on the winch, which would make the extra cost well worth it in that alone. So far I was planning on staying with the same size though unless someone with more experience chimes in...
Either low voltage or bad ground. It's possible the solenoid is weak, but I'd guess the voltage or ground part. What's happening is as soon as the starter engages the voltage drops too low to keep the system energized so it's disengaging.
Will the 11.08V battery not take any charge at all...
My winch setup is in Georgia and my 5 ton is in Alaska. Since the setup is going on a trailer in a few months to go north anyway, I'm trying to get as many parts as I can together now instead of shipping them.
Has anyone put amsteel blue synthetic rope on their self recovery winch? My...
I have one of those chargers mounted hooked up to the batteries in my 923. This spring I'll permanently mount it. It does hold the settings so if you unplug it and plug it back in it will stay on 24v and the correct battery type. I don't know if it's detecting the terminals have 24v on them...
