Hey our brush truck is a M1028, unfortunately the State has had it converted over to 12 Volt. I am not sure what we are running in it but that is besides thepoint since you are inquiring as to 24VDC. Let me know if you want any pics or what not about how its set up.
I have a few questions about the differences in the glow plug controller for a CV and a MV.
1. Besides 24VDC (MV) and 12VDC (CV) what are the differences?
2. Is this something that maybe one with some soldering skills might be able to alter?

It'll cost less if you do the work your self. Not sure how inclined you are here; I assume that you are able to do some since you got one of these older rigs. You could probebly buy the tools and parts and do the work for less than the mechanic wants if you do not already have the tools on...

Starter Relay part number change
I was at CarQuest today since I had a starter relay do the unspeakable to my starter this morning and found out that they are changing the part number. The old number RY117 will still be on the box for about a year the new number is RC1784.
