    Treating old diesel fuel

Just save your self the hassle and drain it and burnit off at say a bon fire. There are chemicals you can add that will prevent growth of the algae. I run stanayde injector cleaner and add it in before I fuel. If your feeling frisky and you want to clean the tank then you have to drop it...

M1008 fuel tank sender unit question?

I just changed my filter on friday and noticed the bolt issue as well. I was thinking that I had a more serious problem. since the magnet was broken and laying in the bottom of the pan. I thought that it was maybe supposed to be above the filter. I have no clue though so I ran a search and...

What kind of heater, It's cold outside

I kinda dig the standard winterization kit that I have. Other than that I have intstalled one of those silicon heater pads to the bottom of the fuel tank and a katz heater like this one: Kats Car Heater — 900 Watt, Model# 37100 | Heaters | Northern Tool + Equipment They are awesome, I...

Under dash relays, and diode question

The heater control does have a lamp to illuminate it, I just did all my dash lights while troubleshooting gen 2. My gen 2 is dim to the point where you do not notice it in day but at night its a bright red light.

    Failed turbo install

The Banks Turbos for a 6.2 do not have a waste gate, IIRC. I just got one off of ebay and now I am waiting on some new gaskets to come in prior to doing the install. I sure hope that I do not run into too many hangups along the way. This has been a good read.

    CUCV headlights

I have both and yes they are the same. I have upgraded both my XJ and my m1028 with the hella e-code one and they sure are nice. There are many makes and models that use the same headlamps, or atleast at one time they were.

    High nickel content

That's all that we have on island is the low sulfur so mine has been doing ok. The IP and Injectors are less than two years old and the tank was throughly cleaned as well prior to the new IP. So I have not have any issues to report. These were done since the rig needed a new IP when my friend...

In need of a brake combination valve

I use a few sites from the private sector. I have to find NSN's some times for gear that is 10-30 years old with very little to go on when we are DRMOing gear. My favorite site is www.nsn-now.com however they are not always 100 percent up to date, usually Fedlog is so I use multiple sources...

Belt whine... how do I tighten them?

I did mine about two weeks ago and it has loosened again. The brush truck at our fire department does the same thing. squeals till I am in second gear then like there is no issue at all. I am begining to think that it may be the pump itself.

Ok So bringing my old thread back to life. I was turned onto another method from one of the tow truck guys here. Surety Bond. I called the DMV and they explained it all to me. About a week later and a few bills less in my pocket and I have a title on my m1028. I was even able to take it out...

Hey Has anyone had a story like this one? What have you done to get it all straightened out? So I was doing some voluenteer type community service work at the Salvation Army here in Kodiak last year. While I was there I noticed a CUCV that was dead in the parking lot. I asked around and...
