    Move batteries to the bed?

Well my plan on moving the batteries is to move them into one of the compartments on the service body. I have scored a terminal strip on ebay a while back from another CUCV for use in the soon to be new battery compartment. I do plan on upgrading the wiring, and do understand the friction loss...

front leaf spring sizes? searched already

Well I am going with you have a M1009 here. You can always contact a spring manufacturer snd have some made is one option. I am likely to go this route since I am going for a little more hieght while retaining the function. I am not into turning a 5/4 ton m1028 into a 1/2 ton from lifting it.

I Have a service body on my M1028 and have been thinking about the same idea, only to a compartment... but yes I do have a turbo I got off of ebay that I plan on installing one of these days. Space is limited with the winterization gear. I do plan on keeping some spare batteries up in the...

    Parking on incline problem

There is a bleeder on the fuel filter housing that I had an issue with. if I parked it for a few days I would have to reprime the lines a bit. I discovered it when had a pretty rainbow in the gravel one day and traced it up to the screw not being all the way in on mine.

    Heater blower motor

Well I pulled it out to verify... squirrel! (point) cage was on correctly. So no joy there it seems that the motor spins in the wrong direction though. I checked 20p and found some interesting info at figure 244 that differes from figure 206. Rigs without the winterization kits have a...

    Heater blower motor

Bob with mine I started off with unknown amount of airflow as a PO had been running the rig into the ground. corrosion had taken its toll on part of the housing surrounding the blower motor water made its way in and we all know that regular water and electrical motors don't play nice together...

    Heater blower motor

Sorry to resurrect an old thread here. I have been having an issue with not enough airflow in my m1028 with winter heating kit, missing the cab/battery heater and a loop back with the long ducting. I have replaced my blower motor, the switch and the resistor pack. At high I get what should be...

Could I have burned up something?

I would first check the starter relay located just above the drivers right foot under the dash its the strange it the one that doesn't look like the others. It is also known for causing the starter to keep turning when you have the engine running. You should look into this thread...

    Quick and Easy Winch Mount

So I had some time this last weekend and here is about where I am at with one of these. This is for a 12000lb 24v that will be inteneded for straight pulls only. This is not intended for offroad use nor will it stay on while driving. All plating that was used was 1/4" or 1/4" walled. A...

Well I have found the PN 1978068 in -34P but its not popping up with an NSN so that is rather odd. Will look further into it. I have found all the specs for one on a m1010 but not the others.
