I love my DD 6.2 and will take one all day everyday. Its reliable great on fuel and pretty basic for a diesel being my first. If you dont like a 6.2 dont buy one
Hello all the other day i shifted my M1009 out of park to drive the needle didnt move to D then i shifted back to P and this little plastic piece dropped out from under the colum i dont know what it is and where it goes. hopefully my photo upload is succesful. Thanks much

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am not looking to gian HP or make cucv my faster i just really think it would look neat on my 1009 with a old school flapper on the top....To each there own

Hello all i was wondering if anybody has tried a hood stack setup on there cucv's. I see them on newer chevys, dodges and fords it looks like alot of work but is really sweet looking. My fabracation skills are minimal. What are your thoughts?

Its really good for IP seals and pump makes the 6.2 run a little more smoother ive been using it for about 2 years now. Its more of a additive than a fuel substitute i put in a QT when i fill up just make sure its marine grade TC-W3 and not the regular 2 stoke oil.
How many people try telling you that the 6.2 is a converted 350 diesel which its NOT! Ive been on my second argument coming from guys that say they know diesels the one guy even drives a 6.5. Im sick of wasting my breath trying to explain myslef to somebody who says they know diesel engines. Im...
Hey everybody i was wondering what the stock size lug nuts are on the m1009? I am getting ready to order blue or purple anodized lug nuts off a tuner website. Theres soo many differnet sizes and i want to make sure i am correct while ordering. Thanks much

Sorry about that did chevrolet add the black out lights, m-16 racks, brush guard etc. I didnt know if they did those add ons in-house at the flint plant. Thanks

Just curious did Chevrolet add all the military options Uncle Sam wanted (to the CUCVs) at the Flint plant or were they taken else where for the military parts. thanks much

make sure you have the starter brace from the block to the starter. Check your bolt tightness. its possible your flywheel might be bad pull inspection cover off the th400 and inspet
Thanks guys the trucks getting a window put in now. Yea i had some serious starter issues and hopefully im done with this problem. From mechanics not heli coiling the threads right leading to oblonged starter bolts and now one of the starter bolts is washered up.
So i had my driverside window rolled down closed the door and boom too pieces she went. I have never had any problems with the window in the past hopefully its a easy fix the crank still works as should. after just spending $1600 in flexplate and starter guess its my week to complian but wouldnt...
Good point i didnt think of that. No not more power i just wanted something with less wieght and i figured that would be less stress for the starter to turn
