    Starting problems...again

Found this old thread when looking for starting problems similar to mine. When I first posted about my starter problems the GPs were suggested as the possible culprit. But since my problem started all at once and since I could not make sense of the diagnostics I thought I would start with...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Does the starter thread ever stop? I just left the extension cord trailing from the shop out to the M1008. Now waiting on UPS to bring me my mil spec GPs and GP relay. The good news is I was able to find mil spec GP relays on Ebay at a fraction of the cost for make due products at the local...

    Glow plug relay question

One more relay question: A few weeks ago I drove home listening to a "clunk" noise on the fire wall. The next morning SURPRISE she would not start. I just got around to putting a volt meter on it and found with the ignition off I got no reading between the orange wire terminal and ground but a...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Ready for another starting problem? I replaced the batteries on my 1987 M1008 with mil spec and had the transmission rebuilt and everything was running fine. Then it turned cold and overnight she refused to start. However unlike rsh 4364 here in central California "cold" is lows in the high...

I don't need tires just yet (my M1008 isn't deadlined just yet) but what size tires? On another SS thread I read about changing tire size to increase your top end speed. Any one want to comment pros and cons?

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Has anyone figured out that half of what we do for our CUCV's any given day is reading these threads to figure out what we are going to do or not do in the future?

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Looks like I need to find some extra trailer bows to take a closer look. With the bed of the M1008 being a little longer I may have to run some horizontal pieces at the top corners and center to add more structure and keep the netting from sagging. Now to find a trailer or two...
