We have gotten alot of different trucks from our "surplus" to use until we don't need or want them anymore. From m880s to 1008s to a tanker even a gama goat. We currently have an 813,35a2 and a a3. Not sure how other states are doing it but our a3 was given to us and when it was ready to be...
It's been awhile since I seen it or pictures of it. Either way it's an awesome truck sad they stripped it like that only thing we did was change out the doors with a set of tan ones from one of our other deuces. looking forward to seeing it put back together.
I'm trying to find pics of the one we had not sure what shots I can find though. If its the same one the truck was like brand new when we give it up. Did the doors used to be tan?
Those things are cool. I wonder if that's the one we used to have not sure what dept got ours when it left here. When we had it it was all red and still had the top on it though but that's been a few years.
This is all over news here. they owe alot of people alot of money. Wrecker cos are bringing in trucks right and left. Alot of cos have stepped in and offered jobs and other support to the drivers.
Wow awesome pics! My dept makes good use of the surplus program too in the past we've had m880's a gama goat, cucvs and various trucks from old gmc fuel tankers to a ford 2 wheel drive stake bed now we're down to an 813 an a2 and an a3. the 813 and a2 are loaners but the a3 will be inspected by...
Now that's a serious truck too bad it doesn't get that much use, we use the heck out of ours and our a3. I prefer the 5 ton in my avatar though:-D. Parked next to the 5 ton is our new delivery not even in service yet 2010 Freightliner/ E-One 1000gal 1250 pump top mount.
I loved ours we upgraded and ours was on loan from forestry the rural fire coor. was afraid another dept would just yank the body off and make a tanker out of it:roll:. Not sure whatever happened to it. It had spent all of its life at an airstrip so it was still in perfect shape.
Ok somebody educate a newb, I just bought my 880 and I've driven a couple others but 75 mph ? mine would be screaming because its so low
geared.
Our first med response unit was an 886 sure don't miss that thing.
I know this is off subject but is that a pumper body on that deuce ? My dept used to have one and i've never seen another one ours was awesome and only had like 1500 miles on it. It was like driving a new truck.
When my dept had ours we put it thru its paces never had any trouble but we did have 300 gal of ballast in the bed along with pump and equipment. Sure wish they would let get some parts off that dodge in maddawgs pic.
Well I'm legal now went to the tag office today and got tag and title done. Some one tried to undo the military wiring and jacked all the wiring so I did some temp repairs so i could at least drive it. The hood and driver fender have been changed with a newer style hood so I'll be looking for...
