My kids mountain bike season starts in a couple weeks. MKT is having electric over hydraulic brake actuator added so my wife can tow with her truck when i'm towing the 5ht wheel. We use it to cook for the whole team and families, about 125-150 people total, every other weekend for 10 weeks...
For some reason I thought I remembered guys saying they had to drill that out. I am looking through past threads now.
OK, thread that I saved a while ago says if you have an anti-tamper bolt to cut an notch into it then use a chisel to loosen, or vice grips, basically whatever you can use to...
I did the Curt 15400 for my M923A2. Fit perfect, I don't have any pics to post but my buddy went the same route and likes his. Looks like they are $165 on amazon right now...
My buddy is an Allison mechanic with a large city contract and has been rebuilding Allison transmissions for well over 30 years. His advice to me, leave the engine alone so as not to blow up the transmission. He said exactly what you mentioned, they are about maxed out with the stock 8.3L...
Getting mine ready for its first use in public. Grilled some chicken and eggs on it tonight. Nothing fancy but you have to start somewhere.
Can anyone tell me what these are used for? I have 3 each of the small and large ones.
Sorry to hear that, buddy of mine was rear ended on I-10, M923 pulling another M923. Going 55mph, all the correct tow lights and blinkers. Guy driving a big International Semi admits he wasn't paying attention and slammed into the back of them at 75mph. They didn't even realize they had been...
Bought 2 of the 22.5 wheels and 2 Firestone 295/75R22.5 tires for when I go pick up my MKT this next week. Was going to get a spare for the stock wheels/tires but knew that I wanted to get away from the tubes and split rings at some point.
I just won a MKT at auction, excited to get it and start using it. Our local high school has a mountain bike team that we are heavily involved in, couple of the parents cook for 250+ people a couple times a month during race season. The MKT should make life a little easier.
Do shift points need to be adjusted? I installed 3k springs and if I manually shift the truck will sustain higher than stock RPMs but if 1-5 is selected the transmission shifts like it did normally before the gov springs.
Sounds good, I am down in Austin, planning on getting there at 0800 tomorrow. Is it on the same side of post as the RV park?
