I have fab'd one for moving mil trailers with various cars/pickups.. only thing to really worry about is the appropriate amount of nose weight so that the 'tail doesn't wag the dog'.
Why do you need a 20,000lb winch for a car trailer? Seems like way overkill to me, even dragging totally siezed pickup wouldn't put up that much fight.
Had some time to tackle the siezed one, so made slogging spanner and used a lot of heat.
Arrow showing pile of corrosion dust after heating and slogging loose.
Slogging spanner from slices of different sized steel pipe.
Fair bit of corrosion on bolt shank.

I'm coming along I 90 through NY. Eastern is South of me the full height of PA. Not sure if a hook up can happen - shame, I saw Dave and Bill at Sussex.
Headed that way. Can bring old style heavy tow bar (non telescoping and not the M88 one), McKISSIK 1" sheeve snatch blocks, 3/4" single sheeve snatch blocks - with hook, shelving brackets for "AAR Mobility ISU 90" storage containers, transfer lever extensions for split shifting M816 etc.

ESMET is the name you should be looking for. Commercially available but not "Harbour Freight or Tractor Supply" cheap. This has been covered in old threads in the wrecker forums - inc tips on how to install etc.
Ooooo - there's a knee whacker in the making!
Not poo pooing the idea, as all my Brit MoD vehicles have front hitches standard - great for 'nosing' trailers onto landing craft (yeah - do that all the time!!!), but handy, not only for recovery but also for rigid bar use. As Bruce + above...
