Okay...serious mess here...T-minus fifteen hours to be at work...came out here to Fennville yesterday from Ann Arbor - truck ran fine, filled up at Meijers didn't use an additive. Woke up today to leave and no deal. The truck will crank but no start. About six hours ago when the fun started I...
Re: Sub doors on a "blazer"
I studied this for a while before GM came out with the Yukons. Since the rear 2/3 of the top on the 1009 is removable (Is it fiberglass?), you'd probably have to find a donor suburban and do some cut and paste. Might have to cut the donor from just behind the...
Hey one more thing about this observation - IF what you're saying is true THEN why did my post only get viewed 998 times while "Muffler Modifications" was viewed 4110 times and "Drilling and Countersinking Holes" 1029 times? What's up with that? How is that supposed to make me feel?
Well I felt bad for being MIA after the 'overwhelming response' Nah, I did want to thank everyone for welcoming me though. I've been so busy at work...it might be another week for I can log back in!
I'll have to ask for your advice on how to get her ready to go to the mud bogs...I'm thinking Detroit locker in the rear, but I'm afraid the bigger tires would make it a dog on the road...gotta save some $$ first though... Although - got any recommendations for exhaust? Anything special I can do?
Wait a minute...that's what I thought - I thought no one including the cops could see me in it...is there something I should know here? Is there another camo pattern for urban Michigan I should be prepping my truck for?
I never thought of that...that IS good to know there's another camo blazer. Now I can go get that 5-finger discount on that Christmas decoration in Dexter I've had my eye on....
Hi Amy! See, what they don't get is that it's all a big rouse to trap a guy - some girls get plastic surgery - I thought I'd try a different path and get a camo truck!
If that doesn't work, I might have to sell it in a year to pay for option #1...as if...
I really honestly think this...
Thank you thank you! I am very interested in decrypting the codes! So far, all I had time to look up was the PMCS. I work with a guy who was in the Army but all he could say was he thought it was Airforce maybe...Thanks for the link!!!
Thanks Chris! It's a shame more younger people don't get more involved with historical cars anymore overall. I've also got a 1951 Packard I've had for 8 years, and the youngest person in the Detroit Packard Club had about 40 years on me... I'm glad you found a way to bring people with these...
Thanks for the welcome! Sounds like your daughter's got excellent taste, you musta raised her right!) You're right on with the mileage too. I haven't towed with it yet, so that will be interesting. What a collection you've got! WOW!
Thanks for the welcome! I will have to start taking some pics! My dogs (Australian Cattledog girls -red and blue) LOVE my truck! They especially love the gun-port-hole (what is the right term for this?) behind the front seats as their noses fit in there perfectly. I've also got her decorated...
Here's a question maybe you can answer for me. I was thinking that I'd like to take off the rear 'door' it's got now and put the two rear doors on from a Suburban that swing out. Does anyone know if these doors will fit?
