Put it in the back of the deuce. Ship it back. Something. Don't tow it. Rent or borrow a pintle hitch equipment trailer and trailer the Scion and trailer back. I wouldn't risk it, it's just not worth it.
I wish my trailer was in working condition, i'd go get them for you. That being said, I think there's several members with trailers that could get them for you. I'm sure they'll chime in.
I've seen that crane somewhere before...if wasn't by chance used in a quarry was it? I swear I saw something about a recovery a few years back.
And I would also like to extend whatever assistance I could render to the Hendrix camp.
I'll fall into the "it's yours, make it what you want" crowd. But if you are unsure, try painting one side and see how you like it, then it's easy to revert back or contunue the blue.2cents
I don't really see how not liking Chinese made parts has anything to do with being a racist. What if I find something (anything) made in Ireland and don't like it. Does that mean i'm racist towards Irish people (which i are one)?
Go to the hardware store or auto parts store. Find two...
I may need three items picked up in Leesburg Ga, and stored until I can get down there to get them or someone is headed this way. They're not very big, I just couldn't do the drive right now.
I could see where it could be of some benefit at get togethers or rallies. It would also come in handy in the event nothing else works. Plus, it just sounds cool :-D
I would be doubtful. It may still be rebuildable, but the only way to tell that is to tear into it. I'm sure someone with more knowledge of these motors will chime in, but that's my 2cents
Very true. I came to own my Vic through a sealed bid auction. I think I was way over what anyone else bid, but I don't want to know. I'm happy with what I have and think I got a good deal, and in the end that's all that matters. As long as you bid to your satisfaction, what do the other bids...
I doubt that engine would be useable even if you did get it to turn over. At the very least, plan on a rebuild. I've used diesel fuel to free stuck engines, but judging by the open water inlet (i think that's what it is) and the way the plugs look, it's shot.
