Do you have a timeline that you are trying to keep for your build? There are reliable mtv models that you can search for, and likely overhaul for significantly less than the Brazos. Then spend the extra money on the box etc.
If your up against a aggressive timeline, budget may not be as much of...
Do you know what year A1 trucks they started doing this? I have a 2001 and it looks like I missed the boat on the remote start when cab is up, as well as battery disconnect. I intended to use this as an initial security measure. My truck does not have the disconnect, but I would love to add it.
Thanks for posting these options. Would love to see the garrison lock installed on an fmtv door. I'd imagine would be pretty straight forward as an added lock, while still using the door handles for access. -- I'll search for some USA companies, this is the best/straight forward solution to...
I'll try and do some more digging. They do spec 22° for when towing a trailer, which seems odd to clarify only 8° more without a trailer

Initially I thought the same thing, but the m1088 wheelbase is one of the shortest, at 161in.
Does anyone know if the frame or setup is any different? I'll have lockers in both rears, so I'm not worried about going up a hill, but not sure if mechanically something will be pushed past a limit at...
Do you know if theres an updated tm. I've seen conflicting information, but this tm isn't for the A1 version of fmtv trucks. I pulled this from Liberatedmanuals.com

I'll put in something else, although I am not sure what. I will probably take it to an upholstery or classic car restoration shop for them to bid out finishing the interior. I have some ideas, but I can't imagine I'll have the skillset to complete in a way that looks good

Awesome, thank you. Does anyone know if it's been mounted elsewhere on other vehicles? I'm switching out air breathers and am assuming I can mount it above the tranny on a rail. (along with the hydraulic to air module)

I bought a $99 sprayer at home depot and did it myself. Prep work taping up plastic around the engine and other chassis took longer than spraying 5 coats over 5 days.
The sprayer will be clogged and won't work by the end of it, but it was easy to do. I was able to use the sprayer on the...
Looked in the tm last night but couldn't find it in the first 400 pages. Figured I'd ask before looking again tonight. Is it associated with the chemical detector, or does the detector mount on top?
It's mounted in top of the air breather.
I thought I took a more clear picture, but here are...
In my cab I used hytech sc1000, it's very similar to lizard skin and I've been told it's the base that most of the bedliner products use. It dampens sound and has thermal insulation. I coated the under side of my cab, rear and top. I also sprayed the inside. I used 5 gallons and then another 2...
I'll add pictures and product names tonight. I'm using tapatalk and it won't let me upload pictures or links without a tapatalk account instead of the forum account.

I'm in the process of sound deadening and insulating the cab. I've painted it with a sound deadening and thermal paint. Next I'll put dynamat, then mass loaded foam, carpet, then a suede headliner to soak up more sound. Putting the same thermal paint above the engine, as well as high heat...
I think the coat of the solution you are seeking to keep your batteries topped off depends on your diy electric capability. Pulse tech looks like they have a solid all in one system, as do the solargizer.
You can put the same components together in a diy fashion, although for just the car Batts...
OP asked about 24v solar panels, not a charger. If he meant solar charging, then my post is invalid. But he asked if there are 24volt solar panels out there, of which there are several.

Anyone with an m1088, how often does your auxiliary tranny cooler kick on? I've never seen the fans run on my radiator, but haven't ever had a load on it, or driven long or hard enough for it to be hotter than a normal temp.
Also, how necessary is this cooler if the fifth wheel is being...
