I've never seen this before. Does it have the standard CUCV 6.2 drivetrain? What kind of axles are those? Just curious.

I assume you were correcting me on the 1028 60s having LS (I should have been more accurate). Not that the 1008a1 had a LS. Is this correct, because if the 1008a1 has it I will be stoked.
P.S. I would love to see pix of your rig with 11.00R16s. how do you like the way they ride...
Yep he was wrong. It was a 1008a1. I was hoping for the 205 and locker up front and maybe the ac compressor on the engine...oh well, I bought it anyway :driver:

I'm going to look at truck for sale. Owner says it is a M1029 shelter carrier and is 1.5ton. I know the M1028 shelter carrier, but never heard of an M1029. Any one know of this? Either way, ideas on what to look out for?

My tag say 9K plus as well but I was wondering true curb weight. As I mentioned mine is not currently running or I would just run it over to a truck scale.

that helps...I'll look and see if I can find this stuff. This may explain why the generator wouldn't run my miller 200 mig welder because it just wasn't putting out enough. I didn't know it was adjustable.

Finally a group of folks that have these and use them...
Smitty or anybody else that has a docs on the gen systems that would be greatly appreciated. I've found just about every other manual but nothing on this. I was having a couple of issues with my power output before the truck quit running...
