Check the intended M101/a1 tow vehicle - the Dodge M37. My Dodge M37 and M101 springs are the same width - not sure on matching length - but they look to be ~ the same length as the rear Dodge springs. I can check over the weekend if interested.

Rick in his 5-ton wrecker and me in my M37 will convoy up RT 743 (Hershey/Elizabethtown) from I283 at 7:45 a.m. and jump onto Rt 39 at Hershey to Exit 77 on I81 then to RC. We should be at the I81/Exit 77 ~8:25 a.m. and arrive at RC ~9:10 a.m.

While I am getting run down from the late night repairs (rear end swap/ transfer case rebuild), the M37 is looking good to go. I will meet up at Exit 77.

Still at it . . ..
Put the t/c together over the weekend - discovered the kit did not incl all the proper needle bearings. Couldn't find any locally and tried NP205 needle bearings, but they were too long - ordered the correct rollers with $43 overnight delivery :( ).
Installed locking hubs...

Time does fly by . . .
Replaced the rear differential - only to have the new pinion seal leak at the outside (not yoke) edge! I pulled the t/c to do repairs - input shaft is bad and VPW is sending a replacement. 2 speed sliding gear (rides on input shaft) is also worn - so that was ordered...

From what I recall, the CJ10 has a Cummings, AMC 727 torque command (Mopar 727 torqueflite) a/t, Dana 300 t/c, and huge rears that are not geared for realistic use. The only trail version I ever saw was a CJ8 Scrambler that had the CJ10 cab and diesel engine swapped...
