Kenny- I had an iPhone and a Blackberry with me but no reception until getting on the road home this morning. Seemed to be that only Sprint users had reception at Haspin! Had a great time ! Got muddy, soaked and sunburned this trip!
We were going to take the CUCV to the VFW for Memorial Day service and chicken BBQ, but ended up taking the M819 instead! What fun! Couldn't take the Gama Goat because it broke down yesterday on our Sunday drive. When we got home, someone who has a camp on Lake Ontario stopped and asked if we...
I drove it to work today. Wasn't passed by as many vehicles as it can now go 65 mph, I even got to pass a few! Got many looks, but now I can see into vehicles much easier! Had quite a collection of guys checking out my CUCV and asking questions. My boss even came out and gave it a good look over...
So Doghead and I have finally lifted my 1008A1. We got it finished today and took it for a 2 hour test drive! I love it!
We put a 4" Skyjacker Lift Kit for a 1987 1 ton on it. That kit came with everything including the correct hardware for the DANA 60 front end (4" springs) and corporate 14...
Doghead is on his way home - he called around noon and said he was outside of Buffalo! He said the ride was going well and thanks to Gimpy for the comfy seat!
Ok,so today the dog (Meg) and Doghead decided to take the mule for a ride in the snow with the neighbor kid snowboarding behind. It is 16 degrees and lightly snowing.
**Interesting how the one who didn't want the mule is the one riding it in all of the videos! :-D**
Doghead and Gimpy have made it to Stretch's place with no issues. They will be spending the night there. Not sure what is planned for tomorrow. I think Doghead is probably heading home sometime tomorrow and leaving the wrecker at Stretch's place.
Hoping someone(oilcan???) took some pictures of...
Ok - new update - another issue - they opened the can with the LDS motor - it wasn't an LDS motor - it was a NHC 250 Cummins engine!
So the plan for tomorrow will be to load everything up in the running vehicles and tow Gimpy's truck to Stretch's place.
I think they are giving up for the...
Just talked to Doghead- they took our "new" wrecker to Oilcan's (in Zanesville, OH) to pick up Gimpy's motor in a can. Our wrecker seems to be working well! He couldn't talk long - they were waiting for him to unload it.
Well, first break down of the rally - Gimpy's truck has broken down on the way to Kipman's. Oilcan and Doghead are headed out to possibly tow it to Kipman's.
