Without a doubt, do it! I did mine in tan pleather over a 3" foam seat and a 2" foam back rest, all on top of the box seat. Very comfortable and still enough room behind the steering wheel.
Pros; looks cool, pushes the bumper out to give the truck the "I mean business look." It can also be used for what it was intended for......... but probabaly not.
Cons; adds weight to the front end which translates into harder slow speed steering, cost.
You will probably find a complete kit...
Under the dash near the steering column is a spider conection. Check to see if all connections are secure. One lead goes to the horn breaker mounted to the fire wall in the engine bay and then on to the battery side of the starter relay.
On my deuce the spider connection was nothing more then...
"Yep, the award goes to YankeeDeuce. That is the BARC @ Ft. Eustis. How'd you know that from that tiny pic?? "
I saw the BARC in person, HUGE!! The give away was the bent-up Info marker low in the picture. Strangely, this I remember.

Hope to see pic's of your completed truck sooner then later.

PM Don at www.sprucemtnsurplus.com. I got one from him a couple years ago. It was the correct part, reasonable, new, and in the truck within 3 days of ordering.

I will be there with the usual cast of characters. Jatonka is bringing his convoy rig filled with M35 stuff and canvas. Hopefully he will have some pics too.
At 1600hrs EST. JT made the Pacific. The "Ghost Convoy" is currently relaxing at the VFW/Viet Nam Vets Memorial in...I forgot.
Anyway, they have not had any further mechanical problems and thank all that helped.
John said he will post tonight when he gets time.

As of 1600hrs. EST. they made Auburn. JT had to repair a flat while the others enjoyed the MV Museum.
A fellow SS member joined the convoy and all is well.
Bob Howard stayed w/his M109 w/the blown motor and did not return home by air. The SS suport group found him a replacement Multifuel and...
