If I remember right, the towbar adapter pieces needed to be put on the CUCV facing opposite directions (up and down) so you can fit the pins in.

    M76 Otter pics and information

Mechanized Museum on Camp Pendleton has two. The article referred to in one of the links above refers to one of the otters that Camp Pendleton has. They are both in pretty poor condition, needing full restoration, new tracks, and new road wheels (which are inflatable rubber)...

Wrecker Driver Towing Home War Trophy

Yes, you're totally correct, I hate to see this one potentially going to Fort Irwin, it is in such good shape, it would not be difficult at all to give it a coat of paint and some fresh fuel. This is probably the best condition war trophy on the entire base. About every other vehicle is rotting...

Wrecker Driver Towing Home War Trophy

The M936 belongs to the Mechanized Museum and is being driven by Jim King. He is in the Marine Corps, I'm not. He has access to MTVR's but there is just too much paperwork to fill out to use one, and he's required to wear helmet, flak jacket, and uniform while driving/operating it where as when...

Wrecker Driver Towing Home War Trophy

I found it in my camera! We (volunteers at the Marine Corps Mechanized Museum on Camp Pendleton) removed the MTLB from where it had been sitting for about 10 years to our storage yard. It is apparently going to eventually call Fort Irwin home. It is not in that bad of condition, the...

saw the USMC Oshkosh 7 ton MTVR this weekend

I would be happy just to get one of the M9xx trucks! They are awesome! The curator of the Mechanized Museum on the base is a MGySgt, and the trucks in my photos are basically 'his' - over 800 trucks of all types - HEMMT's, MTVR's, HMMWV's, the works... in addition to the museum which I'd say...

saw the USMC Oshkosh 7 ton MTVR this weekend

Hey guys... these trucks have air conditioning, and they come with a laptop that can be plugged into the truck to diagnose any problem which may occur on the truck. Check out some pictures that I took at Camp Pendleton...
