I generally would not suggest using latex paint on vehicles. I painted an M103A2 tank with two gallons of 24052 from Ace Hardware -- latex paint -- and it very easily scratches off is fading quickly. Spend a little bit extra and buy Gillespie -- not only does it go on nice, look good, and last...
They show up on Government Liquidation from time to time. They don't usually get thrown out (DRMO'ed) unless there is something wrong with them whether it be the rivets holding the doors on being loose or non-existent (easily replaceable with screws) or fiberglass damage which can usually be...
Oh yeah, forgot to mention too that the gerry can holders are actually gypsy racks that were cut in half. They were being thrown away (rusty and bent up).
I have been building this tool trailer at the Mechanized Museum for the past couple weeks... trailer was being junked, saved it, used a chopped up Humvee wiring harness for the bits and pieces required to convert reflectors to marker lights on the sides, recycled an otherwise new PALCON...

Alright... so now that we're done ooing and awing, does anyone have a pre-800 series 5 ton passenger side fender that they're looking to get rid of? It'd be nice if it was free, because it's going to a museum that doesn't get any money to pay for anything...
The M123A1C pictured in my photo is going to be used in a display where the M123 will be pulling away from a "dropped" M870 trailer (also the one in my photo) with a big Terex dozer on it, like the pic above... :D

Dang, didn't know that. The height of the monster must have thrown me off.
Involved in an incident that I would rather not talk about, but I can't resist on showing it off as it was...
