I generally would not suggest using latex paint on vehicles. I painted an M103A2 tank with two gallons of 24052 from Ace Hardware -- latex paint -- and it very easily scratches off is fading quickly. Spend a little bit extra and buy Gillespie -- not only does it go on nice, look good, and last...

Oh yeah, forgot to mention too that the gerry can holders are actually gypsy racks that were cut in half. They were being thrown away (rusty and bent up).

I just buy flat black paint (it's aervoe "rust proofing paint") from www.mcmaster.com and it matches up perfectly.

Paint over them with flat black paint... works for me!

Where might one be able to obtain a piece of metal such as that one? Can't quite tell what it is...

Too many of the reproduction data plates are done in haste by graphics companies contracted by parts vendors, they aren't concerned with accurate reproduction of fonts or anything, it's just something to be expected... fonts like "Arial" aren't supposed to exist on data plates for a 1970...

I'd say 34079, which is the base color green for four color camoflage...

What is the difference between the fenders for multifuel and the fenders for gassers? I already know that there is one difference between M123 and pre-800 -- that being that there is an access hatch on the pre-800, and the access hatch being located on the drivers side fender on the M123...

Alright... so now that we're done ooing and awing, does anyone have a pre-800 series 5 ton passenger side fender that they're looking to get rid of? It'd be nice if it was free, because it's going to a museum that doesn't get any money to pay for anything... :roll:

The M123A1C pictured in my photo is going to be used in a display where the M123 will be pulling away from a "dropped" M870 trailer (also the one in my photo) with a big Terex dozer on it, like the pic above... :D Brian
