Mine has just started doing this in the last week or so. Not every and time only in two places on our daily run, backing into place to load/unload people and backing it into to the yard at the end of the night. We shift down into low and back four or five times a day, maybe a total of 8-10 low...
Mine is copper and I didn't see anything wrong with it when I had it out but I never put pressure to it to check for leaks. I will do that as it is one area where I could see this intermittent power loss. I also was researching last night and realized I haven't checked the fuel return lines...
Most of the time the tank was about half full. But it has happened when I was nearly empty and when nearly full. The issues started the day after I ran the truck low enough it started to surge on the rough part of the tour so I think that may have provoked the issue.

I think the manual calls it a PT pump. I am using lift pump in a more general sense in that it lifts fuel to the manual injectors. While I appreciate the vocabulary correction can you offer insight as to the issue? I remain stumped.

I am getting intermittent power loss. Sometimes I go days between episodes. Trust me when I say I have checked and eliminated all the easy stuff. Solenoid, tank, filter, lines, contamination you name it. I am either down to something like a plastic bag that drifts over an sometimes blocks...
My 1983 M925 has been a ball of fun the last few days. Last night while giving an offroad tour, after running flawlessly all day I felt a power loss and hesitation. I turned the truck around and refunded the money. Down hill it was idling fine. I started for home a trip of about 9 miles. On...
I can trigger the solenoid manually. The control box I'd out of the loop. I gave it **** grinding it a bit after a filter change. Hasn't been an issue since. I will try to make a video on my question since it isn't clear. That or just do it and report back.

Truck starts when power does make it through. The only issue after two days of troubleshooting is does the mhc 250 need a specific amount of bendix throw in order to trigger the starter motor. My solenoid is brand new and I can feel it working but it isn't throwing far enough for the contacts...
That us just it, everything checks out. Even when manually triggering the starter solenoid you can hear/feel it shoot out but the motor never even tries to turn. No power draw. It has to be the main contacts in the solenoid coming together. My question is if I need to space the starter back...
I have been chasing a starter issue for a few days now. All the easy stuff, connections, wire, solenoid checks out. Even with a brand new starter same deal. Clunk but no turning over. Even when you manually trigger the solenoid. I am wondering if I need to space it back just a whisper...
Well this is fun. The day after replacing the start I have the same issue again. Now the last starter was bad for sure inside but this one has the same initial symptoms. Go to start and it just clicks. Tested the cables for resistance and loosened all the nuts and snuggled them back down...
Thank you for the numbers. I used the NAPA starter for lack of time. I can say that if you grab this one make sure to grab some modern 12 point bolts with smaller heads otherwise you will have to grind down part of the starter and a box end wrench in order to tighten it. At least I had to...
Hoping to grab a starter from local napa, any idea if they carry one for the 250 and what the number might be. I think it is only a bad solenoid but I am against the wall here. Searching the forum from my phone isn't easy and I have had no luck.

Trying to find a substantial air leak. From 130 psi to 30 psi in an hour. Already pressured the system externally and gone over everything with soap. Found a few little ones but even with those fixed the pressure is the same. Can't hear anything. Ideas as to what could leak that much but...
