So I just installed a B&M shift kit..Seemed to go smooth, no problems (that I noticed anyway) doing it....Got it all zipped up, dumped 5 quarts in..fired it up...Nothing when I take it out of park. N change whatsoever in Reverse, neutral, or drive..Just acts like its in park...Now I ask..WTF did...
Looking closer, it even has AC..Cant let those overpaid Embassy workers get too hot on the job! Maybe im being cynical here, and a bit off topic..But why the heck wouldnt the govt just have a 350 swapped in, leave the original trans, and be done with it?
That said..Im still drooling...If you...
Looks professional from the pics...Done after 96' with the Vortec...Looks identical to a C/K series truck with a big block...Just ordered the parts right from GM....Nobody ever said the govt does things cheaply, or smart :cookoo: Thats big bucks...Go for it!
and what purpose does having this many rules serve? Other than turning away certain members who might have a lot to offer? Sure, if somebody typed in all text I could see a personal message or something..But for what was done? Get a grip:roll:
I think youre asking for an endpless pile of headaches. My buddy just put one in a 69' chevy 3/4 ton. Obviously not hard to bolt an engine in, but getting all the bugs figured out has taken a long time. On top of that, now he's struggling with it because it weighs so much more than the original...
Thanks for the tip...I honestly cant tell if its the lower guide arms, or the vent window that is bent...Seems like the window wants to slide toward the inside of the door, about 1/2 inch from the vent window track. Nothing seems loose..Thinking of just buying a new regulator, track, and getting...
First off..I searched this with no real luck...Maybe there is something and my ADD got the best of me, or maybe this is unique..So here it goes..I got an M1009 about two weeks ago....Window on the drivers side hasnt lined up right since. Everytime I crank it up, the glass will almost fall...
:???: Ive only had my m1009 for 3 weeks and already Ive gotten in 3 debates with people that the 6.2 isnt a gas engine converted to diesel. I think I might print the info out and just keep it in my glovebox just so I dont get angry haha :deadhorse:
At least thats what I believe...Sprung a leak from the output bearing pretty severely...Noticing extreme about of noise on acceleration...Literally sounds like it's right behind the driver seat....This something fairly common on these?
So, should I look for an NP208 on CL, or take this out and...
Just curious, I was looking through REALLY old threads (2005) and see responses that "$3300 for one that needs absolutely nothing, and no more than $5k for a fully restored one" Wow! Im seeing fully restored go for $7k plus...after an economic meltdown, much higher fuel prices, etc...
So, do...
Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.....
Ive only had mine for 2 days...So far, th reaction has been positive. A lot more positive than I get commuting in my 2011 Prius to Metro Detroit....Now THAT has gotten me a lot of negative attention.
