Heh. You know, I am still running without my plate on. I did however prep it with velcro like you did with your Jeep, so next time I get pulled over, it will be easy to attach without that stupid hassle of using zipties.

Oh yeah, count me in - and I will be staying longer this time. I need to take more pictures this time around as well.
I am planning on driving in the m109A3 with the m1009 in tow .... we'll how feasible that really is.

Kenny, you maybe right. Ohio seems to have more relaxed policy that some. I just assumed that Ohio was one of the stricter states. Taken from their DMV site - http://bmv.ohio.gov/title/title_faq.htm

I purchased a vehicle in-state or out-of-state and the seller did not provide me with a...
I know the pics maybe hard to tell exactly, but I would like to know what Turbo this is. This is on the M109A3 I purchased from GL. The engine is a Hercules LDT-465.
All I have to go by is the pictures right now ... I haven't seen the truck in person yet.
Any ideas?
Thanks all,

You will have to go the title-bond way. There are a few; Broadway Titles is one that seems to be popular. If you search within the forums here, I believe there is mentions of others as well as comments/feedback from previous folks who had to go through that scenario.
I am somewhat lucky with...
Thanks all!
Mangus was up there yesterday and brought back these pictures for me.
They can all be seen @ http://m109a3.com/ but I will post a few here. Mike says that overall it's in pretty good shape, except for a few rust spots. Spare tire is new, diesel fuel smelled fresh, radiator appears...
Hi all!
I know it's not the conventional looking Duece, but I think it's pretty cool and unique. I purchased one of the M109A3's that GL had up that closed yesterday.

Mangus will be heading that way to pick up another auction, so maybe I...
I just got back from running my M1009 on a 900 mile round-trip through GA/AL/MS - mostly cruised between 65 and 75 with no issues at all. Definitely got better gas milage at 65! But overall, 75 seemed to be the highest I was 'feeling comfortable' about taking it.
Still the original gearing...
Our favorite site and vendor Government Liquidation has them: http://www.govliquidation.com/list/c7601/lna/1.html
These are the current listings - 4 pages worth. There maybe some CA listings.

Yeah, i just looked it up for a K30 - that is weird that it doesn't come with the backing plate. I understand the internals of the k30 would make it different for the Blazer (K5), but I don't see why they couldn't include the backing plate .... oh well.

M1028A1ShelterCarrier,
To be clear - are you rebuilding this one, or replacing the whole unit? I remember you mentioning in the past about getting just a seal kit.
I ask because every reman unit that you will buy from an autoparts store (that I have seen) will already have the backing plate on...
Mudd, I sent you a PM earlier today and posted to your other question ... maybe you didn't get it? Here it is ...

I think the trans vacuum unit that is mounted to the left of the IP will most likely needs to be adjusted. With that being said, make sure your vacuum hoses are good ... ones that run from the vacuum modulator on the trans and from the vacuum pump on the backside of the block (on a gas small...
