    Spare rims for M1009

I have 35 inch tires on my stock rims on a m1028. I would not go past that in my opinion. Alot of members with m1009's put 33 inch on stock rims. Anything past 35 inch you are getting really to wide for the stock rims, plus you will need a lift putting anything past 32 inch or 33 inch lifts...

    1028 w/ 37" Humvee... how much lift?

I went with re-arching the springs and did a 4 1/2 inch lift. The only mistake was putting 35 inch tires, I should have went with 37 inch ( still trying to figure out how to put them on my Honda!). I do not think you would trim or if so very little trim to put 37 inch under it. I have plenty of...

Guess I will change over to a manual system once mine goes out. would love to have a spare but hard to spend that kind of $ on a spare right now. Is switching to the manual the only choice if we run out of cards or can not afford them?

    Has anyone turbocharged their CUCV?

JATO is an acronym for Jet-fuel Assisted Take Off. It is a system for helping overloaded aircraft into the air by providing additional thrust in the form of small rockets.

CUCV vs excursion, F350, or other pick up for bug out and snow vehicle.

I would also add if you have a antique car or truck, they would work fine. I have a 1931 ford fordor I have been drive since I was 8, I am now 40. same engine. With a box filled with a set of points and a couple of belts, a intube repair kit and a hand air pump you can make it fine. I have...

    Gearing?

I am thinking of going from the 4.56 gears to 4.11 gears to increase top speed but still be able to pull something. I have a 41/2 inch lift and fixing to run 35 x11.50 x 16 mud grips. Not sure how much that will cost and what I need to change on the locker either.
