I did Teton Pass in my deuce when I drove it to Fruitland Idaho to have the 109 shelter put on it. The old beast did a good job. I did about 40 the whole way over.
If you used the back window area and not cut out the body for a walk thru design, then made a hard front on the bed, so you would have something to fasten to, you could use a custom made camper boot of some sort.
I did the drive up at the local Arby's once and got a lot of looks and laughs out of it. The girl inside was having a hard time thinking after she saw it outside.( I guess it causes confusion)
Mine had the springs and little plastic string stuff for padding and I used the springs with a foam over the top when I recovered them. I am very happy with it and they are so much more comfortable than they ever were.
Ok this weekend I got the water tanks half plumbed and I got the bed frame built. The bed is the size of a standard full bed. I needed a bigger bed set up as I have four little ones. It is a little tight but as long as the kids stay up against the wall we will be just hunky dory.[thumbzup] I...
Ok first, I would say you may be ok on the drums, (but don't hold me to that), check them and be sure. I have the same problem with a 51 Ford where the pedal is hard as a rock and the brakes are tight, I found it was the master cylinder. The master cylinder was not releasing the pressure when...
As far as automatic goes I would look at an M35A3. The older, less expensive, and easier to purchase truck is the M35, A1, and A2, and all of it's variants, it is less likely to have an automatic unless someone adapted one. I personally like the M35 version. Unless you want to go even older and...
Either some of the water resistant wall board or some sort of paneling to give a backing to attach the shower liner to. Yes I know the dry wall may not stay in rough terrain. I am still in the thinkin' stage on this part.
I used to drive mine 70+ miles a day when I worked in a bentonite mine. Steering is not bad as long as you are moving. They are slow. Don't be in a hurry to get anywhere. Mine will do 62 max but is a little better at 55 mph. I would drive the heck out of it when you get it. This is a disease...
I got all the lights working and the shower is framed in. Next is to get the water tanks installed and bed frames made so I know what I will do with the water lines, before I can dry wall and install the shower lining. I am putting the water tanks under the bed. They are both 30 gal. marine tanks.
