Thanks, I am hoping it all turns out. I just need functional and not much more. I even chose not to do a toilet just for simplicity. I mean hey... A bear craps in the woods right? What's good enough for a bear is good enough for me to bare.rofl
Don't tell anybody but I sewed them up myself:oops:. I was some extra material I had from a project I did earlier. In fact I redid the seats in the cab with that material, and then I used some cotton rope and some ring terminals from the wiring section at the local hardware store, then used the...
It should charge your batteries through the starter solenoid. Track down your wires, that is the only advice I can give you, track them down and see where they are going and so on. Also was your guage working? I would also like to be sure that you may be charging the batteries and not know it...
Ok I now have the 12V lights working and have the breaker box all wired. All I need to do is get a couple of breakers and away we go. I only installed two outlets, mostly because I am not going to use a TV or anything. I may use a microwave once in a while but no need for a massive amount of...
It is common to get a little engine oil in the air system. I did say a little. Too much is not good. The air compressor gets its lube from the engine and just like the engine when the cylinder gets worn some oil slips by. Why it is green is odd though. I would say it is just from going through...
I bought the kit from Wolverine Technologies I bought the 24V and 12V add on kit they have. It is really simple to do and the 24V uses the original belt and the 12V uses a belt that is included in the kit.

The only problem I have is the 109 I have was a Forest Service command unit after it's Military life, so all the wires were cut and so on. I can't seem to get all the screws out to expose the old wiring channel either. I wanted to run external wiring in a conduit anyway for ease of adding...
Tires and brakes are all done. I put on 11.00 X 20's from Alfa Heaven and brought it to the house to start work on the inside of the camper area. First thing is to start wiring it for 110V lights and 12V lights also. I will be putting a few outlets in at the same time. I will post more pictures...
I did them when I worked at a tire shop and did it like WillWagner was explaining. I was replacing them on the deuce a couple weeks ago and could not get the bead to break on the first one, I tried for over an hour, no way would it come off. I drove over it with my pickup and still nothing. I...
Hey I saw you around the SD and Wy state line and passed you there and again after the scale house in Sundance Wy. I was in the blue KW with the blue Pepsi trailer. A very nice rig indeed. It seemed to be running great.
My only concern for the ball valve and cable would be that most ball valves are a little stiff to open or close. The cable may bunch up (even with a hard wire cable like the morse) when trying to push on it say to open the valve. Perhaps a stiff spring to assist opening it. An old enginge shut...
Mine was originally an LDT with the whistler, but I replaced it with an LD after it blew up. It has a turbo from an LDS that was in a 5 ton. I really didn't have to do much to put it in. It was a relatively simple operation.
Yes it was. I had a lot of interest, and one guy showed up to look at it. He drove it around but he was a tire kicker that didn't even know what he was looking at. He couldn't even drive it without slipping the clutch.
Ok I got a little more done over the last couple of days. Here are a few pics. The only thing I didn't get pics of yet are the tires. I put some 11.00 X 20's on it. Still have the front tires to mount up. I also put new wheel cylinders in and got the bearings repacked. I put a new alternator...
