I had a rear tire that had the front tire counter weight still on it. Somebody replaced a rear flat tire but didn't remove the counter weight off the replacement tire. You have to crawl under the truck and look at the wheel studs. It not only made the tire hop but it cupped the lugs bad.
I have first hand experience with checked tires just like that one. It blew out at the 400-ish mile mark. There was nothing left but steel cords and some bits of rubber. Luckily it was on a rear axle. I would not trust it. Low speed, it is probably okay. Highway speed, it will pop, you...
I have seen that thread and read it all. I also went to the site listed on post 102 and copy/pasted the letter for reference. Thanks for posting the link.
I contacted GovPlanet. They now can provide a transferable Florida title. You gotta pay for it of course. They also said they could...
Changed my 1400r20s out for 395/85r20s. What a pain in the boot. So far they are holding air. I disconnected the Ctis to separate the tires from the system for a few days. That way I know for sure if the tires are holding air on their own or not.
I found a bad air brake hose, passenger...
Verify this rear air break line on M934A2
I want to make sure I am ordering the correct air supply line for the passenger rear brake hose for my 934A2. TM info is 4720-01-112-6577 P/N 12256271-5.
The other hose shown I think is for the drivers rear break hose. 4720-01-112-6576 P/N...
I have been thinking about going to electric motors. When I first got the truck the passenger side did not work. It fixed itself. For the first time it is the drivers side that is being stubborn.
I read a few wiper threads and ppv threads but this is a little different. My passenger wiper was not working. Planned on fixing it toward spring. Drivers was working fine. Today I gave it the weekly startup and minor function check. The passenger wiper started working! Great huh? I turned...
I am checking on the SF97 option. Isnt that for off-road vehicles though? I have an email in to the GovPlanet title section. I will let you all know what they have to say.
I am looking through the Idaho vehicle regs. Nothing specific so far.
I contacted the Boise DMV, supposedly, MV...
I called to start thr title process on my M934A2 and she asked if it had a FMVSS (federal motor vehicle safety standard) sticker on the door. If not, then they couldn't title it. Of course it doesn't have it on the door or anywhere else. How in the heck do I find this info? Why do I always...
I guess I will need to keep an eye out for a truck with one on it and see if I can get the whole thing cheaper then buying a new lift gate. I really don't need another truck but if it works out that way, oh well. :)
The crane would be useful but I am wanting the whole platform model. I like the folding gates listed on Tommygate. My only concern is how low the side rails look in the pics. I guess I would need to call them and have my width, floor height and lowest point I would accept the rails to extend...
I have seen a few 934s with a lift gate installed. I have also been looking for one to install on my truck. So far I have had no luck and it could be because I am unsure what will fit. I don't care if it is original or aftermarket, does anyone know where to get a lift gate for these trucks...
Thanks Zackman for the TM information.
Diesel, I will check the alt and see if it is the problem. I don't think it is but I am going to go through the TM inspection.
Thanks for the help. :)
I looked around at a few military surplus sites and did several searches in this forum (dash indicator lens seal, indicator lens, indicator seal, dash lens, dash light seal, etc). I need to replace all the rubber seals and two lens caps. Could somebody please provide a source for these...
Yes, it is the DC amperage (battery charge) meter. It shows left side red then to the right it goes green. The needle is not pegged to the left side it sits just before the green area. The needle does not move from that spot when I start and run the generator. It does not move at all when...
