1310 joint itself is actually weaker then the original. Only has 1 1/16" caps instead of the original 1 1/8" caps used in the 3R setup.
1310 has 1.06" caps and 2.34" wide between caps
3R has 1.125" caps and 2.55" wide between caps
1350 has 1.18" caps and 3.62" wide between caps

The higher the voltage the smaller wire needed. That's why power companies use ultra-high voltage for long-range transmission lines.
With a 6.2 diesel Blazer or truck? If the correct size cables are used, both systems work the same. But the higher voltage system can get by with much smaller...
I've got two 6.2 Blazers with Banks turbos. One is a marine version and one for a road vehicle. Marine version does not have the typical air-cleaner and I had to use one from a Dodge-Cummins diesel instead. Works fine, just takes some added plumbing when not in a boat. Marine turbo itself is...
Proper procedure from GM with used collar
Ill advised by who?
Doing it correctly does not require a new crush collar. I'm interested in hearing why you feel otherwise. If no internal parts are being changed, using a new crush collar accomplishes nothing. A new collar is only needed when...
There is NO difference. A 12 volt starter wired properly has exactly the same turning force as a 24 volt starter.
Two 12 volt batteries hooked in series to make 24 volts have the same power as two 12 volt batteries hooked in parallel to make 12 volts.
24 volt starter on a 6.2 is rated...
It helps maintain a slight vacuum inside the engine and prevents oil leaks. Often the first sign of a CDR not working is a leaking rear-main seal.
Some you can clean and get working fine and some you can NOT. There is a rubber diaphram inside - just as vacuum pump and fuel pumps have. If the...
A new crush collar isn't needed just to put a new yoke on. Install the new yoke and tighten about 1/8 turn past zero-clearance. Care has to be used; that's all. I've seen many pinion bearings get ruined from over-tightening when new seals were installed.
534G joint is a Mechanics 3R type joint. Dana-Spicer # SPL-25-6X
Neapco # 2-3011BF Saginaw # 5-3147X
New yokes at many places e.g.

I've put new 31-32 gallon tanks in many diesel Blazers. Got them from whoever had the best deal at the time. J.C. Whitney, Rock Auto, or a local NAPA. Shipping charges often ofset any on-line savings.
Regardless of brand name, all the new tanks I've gotten were made in Canada and all had a...
No 6.2 ttrucks or Blazers, civilian or military use 24 volt glow-plugs. The plugs themselves are designed to work within a voltage range of 9 - 14 volts.
There is a strict relationship between how fast a particular brand of glow plug heats up -and how long it will heat before the...
You can make a tester from a hyrdaulic bottle jack. You and can also buy new, factory mades testers fairly cheap from China, now and then. I bought two new ones as "spares" for my shop for $75 each. Only down-side is the gauges are in Chinese MPa and I had to remark in PSI. My USA OTC...
The VRV is the "vacuum regulator valve." It similiates the throttle-to-vauum" ratio on a diesel, like a gas engine normally does. It's what GM uses to control TH400s on diesel vehicles with vacuum pumps.
When there is no vacuum pump on the engine, mechanical modulators are used to control...
350 gas engine has much more power then a 6.2.
6.2 has almost identical horsepower, max torque, and peak torque curve as a 305 gas engine with two-barrel carb. 350 gas engine has more power and torque.
All non-turbo diesels have less power then gas engines with the same cubic inches, bore...
I've seen places that sell "kits" now and then that will fit any 208 or 241 transfercase. All it comes with is a yoke and a bolt. You have to drill the output shaft yourself and tap the hole so that yoke can get bolted on. Then supply your sold drive-shaft with its own slip-spline setup...
No metal inside. I've crushed a few by driving a dozer over them.
A couple of HD eye-bolts with big metal washers on the inside work fine - for lifting points. Put them in the corners where the sides and top meet and not in the middle of the top.
I've had eyehooks on my 83 top for over 20...
The early 6.5s with 4L80Es used separate TCM modules (transmission control modules), whereas gas engines used PCMs (powertrain control modules). 1991 to 1993 as I recall. These are easier to retrofit into other diesel trucks then the newer units. When 6.5s dropped the DB2 pumps and when to...
Hey, if it makes you feel better -ban me forever. I won't lose any sleep over it.
And, maybe it will boost your ego a bit.
I'm sure it makes 100% sense to you - to ban somebody for trying to help somebody else out.
To be non-technical, all the currently made glow plugs for 6.2s- civilian and military are designed to work at 10-12 volts and will usually be marked 10.5 or 11 volts. All that counts is the voltage reading at the glow plug when it is heating.
The plugs Delco sells as AC60Gs are made by Beru...
You won't hurt a thing with two batteries in one tray, if you can make them fit.
You can use two 12s in parallel, two 6s in series, or just one big 12.
Many industrial and farm tractor diesels use one big one instead of two smaller ones. Same with the first generation Dodge-Cummins pickups...
