No-way I would convert mine, Althought it will probably work for one, I dont trust it for an anti-theft. I lock the chains through the ring...of course thats probably futile if anyone really wants it...
When I got my trailer from GL, it looked like someone had tried to roll up a piece of paper and put it through there for lack of the proper pin or bolt...I previously thought that if you had enough paper it would work...looks like not...
Yea, I will wait on the dump thing until I have a need. If I did it now, every Tom, **** and Harry will want to borrow it to haul gravel for their driveway, and dirt for the flower bed, and the tailgate will be smashed and the bracket broken in no time...
I dont take my top off eitther ...wow this could digress quickly, I hadnt thought of the clearance issue, I just thought there might be somthing to the torque limiting feature.
Thanks for the info...
I figured it would be ok in my signature line, I hope I didnt offend, just-in-case, I removed it. I had sold and purchased excess stuff in the classified section since I first joined, last week the rule changed, so that now you have to get 100 posts before you can sell... It is a good rule...
nylocks make alot more sense. Perhaps uncle sam used the torque limiting fastener to keep kids from over wrenching them, but anyone on here can prevent that. Nice avitar, MHB - where?
Does it put the load at a steep enough angle to dump properly? I have had tilt bed trailers that just pivoted down a little, but the contents would not come out without a shovel...Have you tried it with dirt, bark, etc. yet?
