Step 4.
Using long needle nose pliers, remove the throttle cable link clamp from injection pump and take off the throttle cable and put it out of the way. Be sure to put the clamp back on the throttle so you do not lose it.
Step 5.
With the belts still on and tight, use a 13mm wrench and...
Step 1.
Degrease and clean motor at home or a car wash.
There is nothing worst then being under a truck while having oil, dirt, coolant, etc falling in your face, eyes, nose, ears and mouth.
Step 2.
Disconnect batteries and label the battery terminals and battery cable.

Good day! In this guide I will show you step by step instructions on how to remove a 6.2L diesel from a Cucv M1009! With no stone left unturned. My way ;-)
I have removed many 6.2L diesels in the past and hope my way will make your way easier for when you are ready to tackle this fun and easy...
Got the 6.5 out of the donor today. She fought me like she was hanging on to dear life but she out! Cried a lot of fluid in anger that I ripped her from her body...
I am vexed! I can not decide! What to build for my M1009! Help please!
Here is what I got!

I do agree a 50 amp switch might be over kill to engage...
Got all the banks parts in the mail and on the table. The HX35W is sooooo much bigger then the banks turbo. I am afraid to touch it because it would blow my hand off like it would with the heads lol!
Still need the mechanical pump plate with the bung for the Banks turbo oil drain pipe...
Many thanks to Steelsoldiers members Richingalveston and Camkillers for making this rare opportunity of selling me an almost full 6.2L banks turbo kit!
I decided to run with a banks kit because I feel much safer with the lower boost and reliability of the kit. Also there is much less...
Thanks man! Keep your eyes peeled for the Banks build coming soon!
with no head studs I would keep her at 5-8 psi to be safe. If not, you may be pulling your motor anyway:)
