I agree with the CO detector for sure. These all have many leaks around the seals and holes in the cab that should keep it ventailated well enough, but I wouldn't want to doze off From CO.
I'm planning on getting a Mr heater to use for mine and the daughter could use it
on her VW Bus during...
Great idea! I always thought we should have one of those. Now I can sell it to wife
for saving money on meals and just have to use it when shes not home.
Glad your OK, I rolled a Civic when I was 19. I'm sure somebody else was along and helped.
We turned over at 60MPH from hydroplaning into a guard rail. We were very lucky, with no seatbelts, we only had a scratch on my nose and a scratch on my friends knee.
Welcome to the wrong side up club...
Glad to see someone show intrest in that war and its vehicles. I was born in 1964 and didn't even know there was a Korean war till I was old enough to vote. Thanks to all that served in it, It is
really the forgotten war.
I have to print the TM and bring it out to the garage with me. I remember having to do the bottom first. I think there were a lot of posts on it it that I used for reference when doing mine. I have to take the front down again because I noticed leaking
wheel cyliders on both sides.
Pedal...
I would check for a place to store it as close to the mishap as possible till your friend can decide what to do with it and whats wrong with it. It could cost as much as its worth with a thrown rod, to transport it. You may be able to find a member here that has space to store it while you/he...
Yeah, thats the one. There were two of them on that lot last time I was there.
I don't know if the other one is gone yet. I saw one on I-12 heading east yesterday
about 4:30 on my way home from work. It was about MM30. Pretty sure it was the one from the auction.
I have nothing to compare it to as My only MV is from them. I was told when I went to preview it that they had to sit on the lot for a year before they could auction them off. They sent a guy with me to show me where it was and he told me it got to its parking spot under its own power.
I...
Great find frodo. Can't believe I hadn't seen it before. Also couldn't believe how many people posted answers to questions that had been answered ten times. Keep us posted on the progress.
Tim, Ever find the owner? I was looking at an old abandoned 66' El Camino 20yrs ago and was able to find the name of the owner at the Clerk Of Courts office here. I don't remember if I ever found them, but it was before I had a computer. Never took it any further and lost interest. It was
on my...
How big is your wallet? You would have to find a mechanic that may be hard to find. I would find a couple mechanics before I bought a truck. And then try to find out what they would charge. Also if your mechanic isn't willing to take the time to read the TM's and do the proper procedures, He may...
Mine had a wire that ran from the sender to the buzzer that could be disconnected at either end (I think) I'm going to try an attach a picture of the sender under the dash about halfway between the steering column and the middle of the cab. Hope it helps
It is that simple. Just make sure you fix it before you put it on the road again as
the difference in braking could cause an accident. I had a car lose ts booster and it was it was scary at only 1700lbs, Imagine 13,000.
Lots of different threads on this subject. I checked with my State Farm agent when I got mine, just to see and they wouldn't touch it without a commercial policy, might be the need of tort reform in LA. I would make sure your insurance provider knows what they are insuring or you may not be...
Do you hear the air escaping under the dash? Mine had a bad diaphragm in the switch and for now its removed and connections plugged as I'm still working on it. Don't know a source for a replacement, let us know where you got it if thats the problem and you find it.
Don't really think the temperature would affect the motor turning over completely unless you didn't have antifreeze and cracked something to give you hydrolock, if you had good batteries and good connections. Has it not turned over cold and then turned over after?
