I have just been wondering if instead of using tire chains on the rear of the truck if you could use some sort of track that ran between the tandems? I have seen this done on say the 6x6 polaris's so I think it could work just on a larger scale. This would give you a large area of contact on the...
Just like jaxsof said he made a set up for the diff breathers. On the m939 series trucks I think one could just T into the air brake system which allows for the venting on the diaphragms. The air line is non pressurized and feeds right into the intake stack. I think that mod would be pretty...
Mine has the fording kit as well. I believe these are valves that close the transmission and crankcase breather so no water gets in. I may be wrong about the valves so please correct me if I am wrong. As said before in previous posts it says 30'' deep with no fording kit and 78'' deep with the...
Just out of curiosity did your truck have a blow out on the front drivers side tire? Your hood looks like its kind of wrinkly like someone just hammered out the dammage but didn't use any bondo. It may just be the light. The picture was in post #284. Just an observation.:jumpin:
I need cup holders in mine and this would be a "unique" cup holder. I was also thinking of getting some pistons maybe from a shot nhc 250 or similiar and round out the inside of it so it could hold a cup. I REALLY like your set up though!
I was hard at work today working on that a/c. Today I hooked up the wire controls to control the heater valve, floor/ defrost/ dashvents and the flap for recirculate even though I don't need it. I made a plate to keep the birds out but I still need to seal it. I also did all the dash air...
YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! I got my evaporator installed today. It just barely fit I mean BARELY! I still haven't put the dash back together because I need to do some air plumbing behind the dash. I think this was the hardest part of the entire project and hopefully nothing else will...
First off congrats on your new truck! They are alot of fun. As for your brake issue I would try figuring it out before driving it any more. The last thing you want happening is your brakes locking up when driving. There are 2 things that come to mind that may be wrong with the brakes.
1)...
Well today I think I figured out the evap box problem. It was actually pretty easy. On the evap box I have, there is a fresh air intake port (i cant post any pics because Im using my ipad so look back on page 6 to see the pics) that stuck out about 2-3 inches. I thought that there is plenty of...
Yeah Fiberglass would probably work just fine. That would be pretty easy to work with.
The engine compartement gets pretty warm and the box would be near the exhaust manifold which would heat the box up. It was hot enough that when I went on an excursion in it on New years I had some burritos...
