RE: Re: RE: Stock dual exhaust size?
From my experiance with deisels they don't need any back pressure like a gas engine likes. So going over 2.5 won't hurt anything. Just swapping my stock mufflers with Flowmasters was a nice seat of my pants feel. When I'm ready to do the whole exhaust I'm...
When I was at Red Ball last week there were two M1009's in the parking lot with a radio mount I haven't seen before. It was bolted to the right side of the dash plate, came up straight to what looked like a ball mount then to a small shelf. Anyone have any idea what I'm describing? Thanks
Wow I was there and only met JATONKA. I guess I was too busy looking for goodies and not doing much talking. BTW, thanks JATONKA for the Slave Cover. I've been looking for one for the past month.
I've posted about this guy before. Just $275 + around $100 to ship for (4) brand new one's. Mine came in just a couple of days by FedEx. Plus if you see he has a 100% feedback rating...
I have seen them offered in one of the new Military Vehicle Magazines. They were expensive but New. After painting mine and grabing the Bows from Mangus I'm probably going to pony up the bucks for one of these covers.
The bias tires ware very fast with on road driving and they are noisy. On the good side, excellent traction, very tough, look great, cheap. Sure the radials would be better off-roading but considering I get 4 new bias tires for the price of one radial I'll stick with the bias.
Last month one of my Gen lights (don't remember which one) started to glow when I pulled into my driveway one night. I revved the motor but it still had a low dim glow. Like you the gauge was perfect. I shut off the truck and when I restarted it, and it was gone. Never happened again. Gremlins...
Sorry I met to post earlier. I am going but with my truck down I'm bringing the car and won't be able to bring them home. I would like to buy them from you but I'll have to go to you when I get the truck squared away. Is that OK?
A guy in my club mounted his speakers in a couple of ammo cans. I thought that was a great idea but not sure if that's what I'm going to do. No matter what I decide. I want it to appear as if it belongs in a military truck to the average person.
A little over a week ago I mentioned that I lost a starter bolt. Well after replacing it all seemed fine for a day. Then every so often the starter was making a strange noise. It was getting worse but I was hoping it would hold up till the weekend. Well Friday after work I stopped at the 7-11...
I installed one a few weeks ago on my friends 1009. It looks like a quality unit. It's about 25% less weight. The only thing we had to do to make it fit was drill a new hole in the nose support bracket so it would line up with the stud. So far no problems.
This is the person I got my new set from. I received them in 3 three day by FedEx. They were brand new and perfect. They are the older 36x12.5x16.5 bias...
