Yes, with this stuff when I upgraded to my MRAP heater and added rear heat.
I had some extra hose and decided to replace the defroster duct with it. Only problem is it is too big to use to upgrade the floor heater ducting which is, I believe, 1.5" hose. It was a pain to get it through some of...
Been following this thread since kcobean started it since I was curious about the Plan B trucks though I have zero intention of buying one but, I agree with Action.
Doing that is shoddy and speaks of poor workmanship and/or laziness. I couldn't imagine doing my job to quality like that. That...
TM 9-2320-280-24P-1, page 734/1146 and on.
Hood seals. Item #6 in both figures.
12342357 - SEAL,NONMETALLIC SP L.H
12342358 - SEAL,NONMETALLIC SP R.H
Both are $42.37 at MacMotors.
I just ordered glass and seals to replace my hazed glass and rotting seals since I'm painting my truck.
They've got the best price on the glass but they're asking $52 each for the seals and shipping to me was $78.
HPG had the better package price with seals for $35 each and shipping only $32...

Good thing we've got folks here that know more than Bill Jenkins though...
ETA: Wanted to add an excerpt from Mr. Jenkins's book, "The Chevrolet Racing Engine":
I guess some folks just like to :deadhorse:
Again, this is not a new concept.
Nothing revolutionary.
But what do those amateurs at Edelbrock know?
Different engines. Different execution. Same concept.
This is no magic cure-all. Just the same type of small modification many folks have...
Since no one had the answer, I'll follow up with what the correct pins are in case anyone else needs the info for future reference.
The larger pins that go through the shackles are 3/4"x4" and the smaller ones that go through the legs are 3/8"x4".
Yep, do exactly this.
Just found this out on my own a couple weeks ago when I finally picked up a closeout plate for my trailer plug. Frees up plenty of slack.
Jake and I got ours from seller estreammicro on eBay. They included the GJ dual RF dock and came similarly equipped as yours with i7, 8GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, and AC cord. We paid right around $280 as well. I think these are a much better deal than the surplus Panasonic Toughbooks being sold out...
I don't think there's anything wrong with the 6.2 aside from lack of power. They have some known issues but aren't especially problematic.
I've got a friend and fellow SS member with a M1028 with a 6.2. He's since swapped in a 4L80E and more recently a Banks turbo kit. Said it drives like a...
You sure it's a B33 you've got? I couldn't find any reference to that model anywhere. If you've got the Getac B300 though, this is the Gamber Johnson dock you want to hunt down: http://www.gamberjohnson.com/products/dock-getac-b300-computer-dual-rf
This is the same type of dock, with internal...
That looks like some custom fab job and not a factory H1 bumper. The factory H1 bumper is pretty similar to the military one except it doesn't have the side shackles.
Here's the TM graphic for the military bumper. The TM graphic is kind of odd because on one frame rail they show how the outer...
Jake is correct. The Gamber Johnson dock for the General Dynamics laptops has an internal power supply that will run off 24v-28v.
All you need is paired 14ga wiring to wire it up to the vehicle electric. Latching and unlatching the dock will switch the dock's power off and on but, it keeps the...
Figured I'd resurrect this thread so I didn't have to start a new one...
Recently picked up one of the black Ibis Tek HMMWV towbars (for just $50!) but it's missing all the rubber handled hitch pins.
Does anyone have the dimensions of both the thicker and thinner ones?
ATF is good and is basically mineral oil BUT... ATF is dyed red and if you happen to be driving around, and get stopped by a revenue agent, and they dip your tank to check for use of off road diesel on road, they may mistake your red dyed ATF in your fuel tank for red dyed off road diesel. That...
Was going to say if it's the fuel vent I could offer some first hand experience but Action is right. It's supposed to otherwise be sealed. Vent is to allow expansion and contraction of air inside without blowing out seals or sucking in foreign material. Only way to check restriction is with the...
Okay, I wasn't actually planning on spending this much time on this but, since I like pikchurs (and I wanted to try out my new avatar!) I figured I'd do up this sketch to show what I was trying to describe in words my understanding of the cooling flow in each situation.
I think I've got a...
