Well with the help of this thread -- I tore the IP head off to replace the 2 0-rings. It went as expected the 2 hr job took about 12:cry: ( big learning curve ) the first IP I have torn into.
So after removing heater ect. I start to remove injecter lines from head --- all the lines except one...

Just take the lines and top off and ill find the oil rings? and are they special o-rings or will i be able to find them at an auto supply. thanks for the help

You will need the heavy tow bar on the tank ---- I think the 5 ton may move it but I dont think it will turn or stop it if going down hill.
How about the possibility that the tank may move under its own power??:-D

Dave --- locking the engine wont stop the tank from moving the auto trans has no park in it the only thing they could do inside would be to lock the brake pedal down -- this is what the park position on the trans shift lever does. but you can get to the final drive collars form the outside...
The m48a2c or the m60 which both use the same engine and transmission do not work as indicated ---- there is no individual braking if the engine and transmission are not operating. the only brake is a manual (one) pedal on the floor (manual -- not hydraulic or air) it works though rods to the...
i think the big problem will be if you need to turn!! The tank will want to push your back end around and I doubt you will be able to make it turn with out a lot of work.
what tank is it? If its a M48 or an M60 you will have to diconnect the tanks final drive collars and then there will be no...
