Well I found out the brand new junk chinese starter cable already took a dump.
It still won't start surely there must be more fuses then the ones in the fuse block under the dash? I checked all those and they were all good
Well went to start it today and it cranked and then the batteries seemed like they went dead.
So I tried jump starting it off the Duramax didn't work. Pulled the Optimas out of the duramax and stuck them in the M1009 still wouldn't start.
I messed with some other stuff and pulled the plug...
The axles alone are worth $1500 so $3500 for a whole truck is a good deal
I bought the M1009 because I wanted interior space. I will be swapping to the dana 60 and 14 bolt later on
I was reading about the dog head Relay modification but wasnt sure if that would solve the problem
I need to check the batteries but I think they are okay
Connections all seem ggod but I will double check them
I guess but it has nothing to do with the motor it just wont crank sometimes.
As far as the grounds I checked the one on the frame and the one at the back of the intake are there any others. I should check
When I first got my M1009 it started super fast everytime.
Later I had a problem with it not wanting to crank it would act like the battery was dead but other times it would be fine. Like you could run into a gas station come out and it would not do anything or crank super slow. but other time...
Old rusted exhaust broke off so I put two cherry bombs on until I decide what I want to do go single or add a turbo.
I replaced the broken cable going to the starter.
I also got a door lock unlock handle and a new window crank so it doesn't keep falling off when I shut the door
It rides okay on the road but anytime I go off road I can not stand the ride it takes all the enjoyment out of wheeling. the quality is fine but the front springs should be on a duece and a half.
I have a Tuff country lift on my silverado and it is really nice. I will be replacing the rough...
I got longer lines for 12 bucks each the application is a IFS late 80's truck
Checkout Colorado K5 for more info
As far as the Rough Country Lift Goes Mine will be going in the trash can soon it is unbearable off road
I bought my M1009 because it was the cheapest K5 I could find that wasn't totally thrashed
I refuse to own anything carburated so it was either a 6.2 or TBI 350 the 350 is much better on power but the 6.2's low end torque makes it great for off roading which is all I use mine for.
Also the...
It rides rough rough off road
If I were you I would get a tough country and do a shackle flip in the back it will flex better than with lift springs and will probably be cheaper than the all spring rough country
