Looking online for a harness I am coming up empty handed so I may very well be repairing what I have. If thats what I need to do though that's what I do. It is a project anyway so I can take my time to do it and make sure it is done right. I'm hoping to have it driveable this weekend finally...
So looking more into the rear wiring harness I have quite a few bare and broken wires. Honestly I am suprised I even have tail lights working. Anyone know where I can find a rear wiring harness? From the looks of some of the older posts they are hard to come by. If not will a rear harness...
I have checked the bulbs and they are good. I am tracing wires at this point to see if something is worn through and I am grounding out somewhere. No offense taken on asking if I checked though. We all miss things sometimes.
If you are referring to the one on the steering column yes I have taken it apart and cleaned it. That and the three lever switch have been taken apart had the contacts cleaned and put back together.
Im having issues with my brake lights and turn signals not working. I have already replaced the module, removed, cleaned, put back together, and reinstalled both the three lever light switch and turn signal lever. My head lights and tail lights work but not the turn signals (front and rear) or...
That's ok. I didn't even know where to start on quantity when I started this thread. Regardless of how much i buy If I end up with extra I'm sure I can use it somewhere.
Here are a few before pics. I will add some more before I start painting it. Got the seats out and cleaned up and just some of the surface rust spots sanded and cleaned up. Just need to get the time off work to start spraying paint.
From what everyone is saying I will definitly go with the Marquee. I figured since I have it I will give the sprayer a try with the paint thinned out some. If it doesnt work and splatters I will just wipe or sand it back down smooth and get the HVLP gun. My issue with a test spot is...
Thanks for the advice on the Marquee. I will definitly keep that in mind when I go buy the gallons. I will definitly get some before and after pics as I get it painted. Hopefully the weather will cooperate enough in the next week or two that I can get it painted.
Thanks. Thinking about spraying both interior and exterior. I have a wagner sprayer for painting the house so I may see how well that does. If it doesn't look good that way I will.probably head to Harbor Freight and get one of their HVLP gravity fees guns.
I have the paint color I want. I used a thread from here and got a sample of the 33446 tan and it looks good. I have a M52A2 tractor that I want to paint both inside and out. About how many gallons should I need to completely paint it? Thanks for the help.
No worries VPed! I wanted one for a while. I remember having discussions about finding trucks like yours and now mine before you got your Deuce. Thanks ODFever! I must say if having OD iron is a sickness I will be happily sick the rest of my life!
Just found a thread CARNAC had posted on with all the M52 info he had at that time and I happened to find my serial number and reg. Number. Turns out it is a 1965 M52A2. The thread is about 6 years old but hey it was the information I was looking for. Thanks CARNAC!
Swap the seats out for MRAP seats, put super singles, remove the fifth wheel and put a deuce bed on it, then put a fresh coat of paint. I plan on keeping it tan.
I found the serial number on the drivers side frame rail and it matches the serial number on the data plate. I just posted to Carnac's 2014 vin info thread. Hopefully he will be able to help me out.
Hopefully you can help me out. I am looking for as much info as I can get on my truck. The biggest thing I am hoping you can help me with is a date of manufacture so I can get moving on getting a SF-97.
