I have no idea. I got a used pump that had I believe a #14 in it, but my generator didn't have an IP on it at all, so I have no way of knowing which button I need if this setup doesn't work.
Thanks Isaac. I tried reading it just now, and it might as well be Chinese.
Usually that means I'm too tired to process what I'm looking at. I'm gonna catch some Zs and then re-read that .pdf again and try the flow method. I definitely didn't pay attention to the cam lobe position when I...
Some of you may remember the MEP-003 I picked up a couple of months ago, which was missing just about everything. I've since got the parts I need, and started putting everything together. I tried to crank it tonight, and it turns over, but will not start/run. The genset didn't have an IP on it...
i had my 003 loaded into a 5x7 enclosed trailer at the RAFB GL site. when i got home, I looped a strap around a tree and hooked it to the sling loops/rings on the genset skid, and slowly drove forward. the genset slid off very gently and stayed put while I parked my truck. then I used my...
As for jump starting, yes, it will work, but you have to let the genset charge up the batteries a bit first if they're REALLY dead. if you just left the lights on too long, it will likely allow you to crank the truck if it otherwise would normally crank. Meaning, don't take it to instantly...
I agree. Not sure how it happened, but I'm sure it's not much different than my experience when I pulled into my driveway with the trailer and dropped the ramp...
"What's that?"
"Generator."
"Ima git me one...... how you do that??"
and so it goes.
I agree, the days of cheap stuff is...
Anyone get one of the gensets from this last cluster? the Ft Polk sets went nuts again. One or two of them went for over $2k. I got one of the two 003's for my Dad from the Bragg lot. Overpaid for it at 1580 (1859 all said and done), but it was complete, pretty clean, and it's what he...

According to post #2, they are in fact intercharngeable. there is a link to an interchange list from the manual. (TM 9-6115-624-BD)
You may be right. I bought mine, and now suddenly people I know are coming out of the woodwork wanting one. Mostly family, but a few neighbors/friends/whoever would rather buy one that runs from me than do the legwork themselves. If I can't oblige them, I know Storeman will most likely be...
I wanted something durable and easy to work on. I don't care about automatic-sensing-whatever, I just want to push a few buttons or turn a few switches, and have electricity as long as there is a flammable liquid in the fuel tank. so I got an 003. I'm also still putting it together, as I had...
found a can in my shed with a gallon or so sloshing around in it, and got to thinking....
The search I did on the site brought me a post where someone said JP-8 is good for cleaning out a gooped up fuel system. is this true? thinking about running it through my genset when i clean out the...
I have twins. I got snipped once they were 8 months old. Doc said there was a good chance of having another set of multiples, and I told him my E-5 pay doesn't cover that much, so that was that. it's fun having girls, but I know what both of you are saying, and I've only just started...
I appreciate it. I read the thread thus far. I'm hoping to pick it up cheaper than 3k, but we'll see. I have a soft spot for an old ambulance like that, I've only seen them in museums, but I've worked on HMMWV FLAs and MRAP HAGAs. I wouldn't mind bring one of these back to service condition...
