nope i did it. just put a voltmeter on it and make sure it is putting out CORRECT voltage. get a grounding harness too. mine was putting out a healthy 38 volts (which is bad)
Now that it is cold outside, when i turn switch on the wait light comes on for a split second and shuts off. No power to glow plugs. I read a lot of posts so I am thinking need to ground box, possible new smart start box. (have new GPC unit and glow plugs)
OK just got new m1038 truck from IP. Would not start (no wait light) (IP) they used either to crank. (I found out my and alternator was proving my vehicle with 38 volts) so new alternator lol
I replaced smart box with another smart box and a new GPC unit. Bought and replaced 8 new glow...
$3500 for running 4 door no top, doors some blow by, 6.2, MM winch runs great unless cold outside (wont start) Paid too little lol
$9500 running 4 door with top, no doors, MM winch , 6.5 runs perfect. Paid too much trans went out after 1000 miles

I printed manual and seems straight forward just would like some input, thanks.
I remember looking at this one. Was it in Kentucky? Something was weird about it if I remember I think it didn't come with iron clad insurance or something.
