Look at ironplanet. Go with 6.5 on m998 or m1038. This way u know engine was replaced if built in 1985 to early 90's. Turbo 400 is bulletproof so transmission shouldn't worry you. If the body is dented up pass on it cause the vehicles have a million rivets in them . Hard to do body work...

OK did a few things. If your looking to replace the shatty seats I did a lot of measuring and junkyard searching and found that a Mazda mvp mini van has seats that fit nicely. Just have to figure out passenger (commander seat). Also started straightening fins on cooler in the first pic.

Just went to junkyard and bought 4 really nice leather seats for 100 dollars. Problem is commander's seat . My new seat will sit too high on that side. Any ideas?

I have a 4 door m1038 troop carrier style setup. I don't have the partition that separates the rear seats and the bed. I'm don't exactly know where to install evaporator that goes between the 2 rear seats. I drilled the holes but it seems the brackets aren't meant for a soft top. Any ideas
