I will be attending the Huntsville MVPA show on Sat, the 28th and leaving the 29th for the DC area then on to Dayton, OH and Sparta WI going near or thru Chicago. I can transport either direction, but will have a new CUCV in tow on the way back from Sparta. Total trip will be about 3 weeks. Let...
Hi, I live in Guntersville and have my M923A2 thru a company in Florida. No locked building required and it's about $400.00 a year. Gulfway insurance, 1-800-940-5010. My rate is based on a couple of trucks, might be higher for just one. Good Luck!!
EXCELLENT JOB!!!! Just bought an M1009 and want to do the same thing. 3M makes a "brushable seam sealer" that is great. Really looks original and easy to use. Thanks for the pics and inspiration.:jumpin:
While on the subject of "bull riding" or "bounce" or whatever, anybody have any answers? My M923A2 can feel like it's going to come apart and then smooth out like a Caddy for a while. Figured it's next to impossible to have those 48" tires in balance, I have enough trouble with 22.5 road tires...
A standard scuba tank holds 80 cubic feet of air at 3000 psi. when full. That should be enough to fill the tanks and supply the 100 or so psi needed to operate the brakes, but you will sooner or later run out, especially if (ha!!) you have leaks. You will also have to shut off the scuba tank...
If you can't adjust it any higher, your rebuilt alt might need a rebuild. Try moving the screw in and out, it may have some corrosion or other thread issues. I've had rebuilds that had issues right out of the box, not too uncommon.
True, just that it's many steps to leave the initial feedback. On sites like ebay or GunBroker, it is an option on just about every page . Not a big deal here it seems, most guys I've "met" have been very helpful and trustworthly. I've made 3 transactions since joining, one guy actually sent the...
How about a "leave feedback" link on the profile page or user cp. Right on the surface where is it easy to use. (so it will be used). I buy/sell on several sites and have for years, and this was reallly hard to decipher on SS. Don't want to whine, but if it's hard to do, most will not do it and...
Hello out the in America's Dairyland...I won a CUCV in Sparta, and mistakenly thought I had to do an EUC for it, now instead of a month and half or so, I've got about 10 days. Currently on a trip about as far from WI as can I get. I need someone to recover, it runs and drives, and store for a...
Take into account the condition of what you're buying. You're probably not going to need to go through a motor anytime soon if your get a low mileage/hours unit right from the get-go. Parts are available on the net for a model A Ford or my 1950 Chevy, you'll find parts for the 250, but it'll be...
:ditto: My mom (88 yrs) wonders how I got this way...My wife of 17 yrs figures that's about 35 yrs worth of a normal marriage, but goes with me everywhere just the same. Just got back from an 800 mile trip in my M923A2 including some rain where she found out it's about as water tight as a cheese...
Ask your local DMV what they want...you're going to have to deal with them sooner or later. Preview the truck or have somebody do it for you, It has to stop! as well as drive. Don't sweat it too much, you're not the first guy to buy this kind of truck and license it, you just might have to...
