If you don't want to cheat and use a correction box you could just replace the driven gear on the transfer case end of the cable.
There are a couple different drive gear tooth counts, and there are two different driven gear holders with different offsets to work with the wide range of driven...
With a single cardan driveshaft the driveshaft itself isn't spinning at a constant speed when it is at any angle besides straight. The more severe the driveshaft angle the more the shaft oscillates. There are max driveshaft RPM charts that suggest that you don't exceed a certain RPM at a...
I'm leaning with the others on the drive shaft idea, put a CV at the case and point the pinion at it. Kind of a spendy thing to try though.
My daily driver has a New Venture 5600, I know it is different than a 4500, but it is a noisy beast of a transmission and has been since new.
Last I will...
I'd put a section of clear yellow Tygon fuel hose on the return from the pump to be sure no air is getting introduced first.
Other possibilities include governor weight retainer failure. If your pump does not have a small metal tag with the letter E stamped on it it most likely has the old...
Honestly $2500 for a good pair isn't too crazy. For that price I would want to open them both up, do a visual check and check backlash with a dial indicator. You can find cheaper if time is on your side. Once in a blue moon a K30 will hit a pick-n-pull yard, slightly more often a dually...
Are you sure you put it back together correctly? The guide pin and governor spring can be finicky if anything is sticking. Other thing is that when you turn up the pump (clockwise) you are increasing the roller to roller dimension in the pump, and that means that the roller contacts the...
There should be shifting instructions on the visor.
I come to a full stop, put the transmission in neutral, and then shift the transfer case. Sometimes it helps to roll a foot or two while shifting. Also, it is a 30 year old transfer case with plastic tips on the shift forks. It isn't a bad...
There are two ways to install the cover, the right way and the full throttle un-governored runaway method. Since your engine didn't run away I'd say you installed the cover correctly.
When you adjust the max fuel through the top you have to remove the guide rod out of the back of the pump...
I think it is 1000.
This is the same link I posted in your 700r4 thread, this method has worked on my pickup.

If that 10 bolt is clean on the inside and does not have any surface rust on the gears I'd guess that it could fetch $250-$450 at auction. If it has rust inside I'd guess $75-$150 selling locally because it wouldn't be worth shipping it.
If that was a Dana 60 you would be sitting on gold. A...
This should help. When the injection system is dry I remove the glow plugs and turn the engine over until it is purged. It is easy on the batteries, easy on the glow plugs and it only takes about 10 minutes to pull them all.
Do what Barman already suggested. Pull the glow plugs, ensure that the glow plug connectors are taped and or not touching anything and turn the engine over until you have fuel mist coming out of all 8 glow plug holes. Install the glow plugs and give it a whirl. If that does not work then I...
I would count on belt squealing with 200amp alternators. On a good cold morning after a couple glow plug cycles and cranking it over as soon as that voltage regulator kicks on full blast you are going to have belt squeal trying to transfer that much horsepower with a v belt.
I have a Walbro FRB series. Neat thing about them is that they only run when needed. One caution about electric pumps, especially the Walbro. If you have good ears you may be able to hear the engine timing change a bit with every pulse of the pump. Don't quote me on it, but the advance...
