Also called Shop set No. 3 for the Army Corps of Engineers.
The standard M715 is underpowered, imagine a large box. generator, and cylinders, tools, etc.
Like it was stated, good for the collection if you need one (like meaua)
They are fairly rare, but not very useful as a daily driver or...
Capitol police were busy at the time with a woman and child in a black sedan.
There is a Honor flight from Wis. going and that made the news, too. Sounded like they wouldn't be denied either.

I remember reading in an old back issue of Military Vehicles Magazine someone had one of the AM General prototypes. There's a four foot stack of back issues, so I can't access it readily now.:-|

The canvas top measures 139 inches over the top and 110 inches across the side. The grommet spacing is at 15, 41, 69 1/2 and 97 inches from the rear ends.
Nice talking to you guys. Sorry I got sick and had to leave early. Just as well, or I would have spent more money....

There isn't much for off-road parks in Wis. anyway. And I don't think you can trail ride the National Forest land, but I could be wrong.
Come out to Iola this weekend. I'll be there somewhere in a M715.

Had a guy here in Wisconsin sell 5 trucks for $900 each, one a winch truck. Various conditions.
I see other trucks for sale here and there still.

Did you see when GSA was trying to sell two groups of trucks, 4x4's and 6x6's in two different lots about two months ago. They were about $30,000 apiece, times 10 or 15 trucks in the lot. I don't believe they got any bids. They were out of Hooks, Tx. Running trucks, other conditions unknown...
My M715 came from that same neck of the woods, and it too has the ECS markings on the cab doors. They are military vinyl decals, so they were on before coming out of the service.

That last pic looks like an old RR right-of-way. Reminds me of when we went to Colorado and drove on some of those high up in the Rockies near Buena Vista, Co.
Looked like a fun time there.

There was one sold on ebay about 6 months ago (later 2012) cargo version like this one. Pretty complete and in good shape, sold for ~$8000 methinks.

I haven't seen that body either, but I'm no expert. Both have civvy taillights, so it is possible the box was added after military service and painted.

Do not use stripper. You can't regulate how much it will remove at one particular area or the next. I have used 600 grit wet sandpaper and water to get hood and bumper numbers in the past. When you find a line or circle of a number, mark it with a sharpie so you don't lose it. Use direct...
I'm guesstimating that it landed upside down, and the body was impaled into the ground. Then they threw the chassis back on the platform to transport it.

Just apply to the sides and end of the M888 utility box the same manner as shown on the ambulance.
