Now let's go get 'em dirty. Seriously, though... Anyone pimped out their LMTV other than Wehring? Maybe there'd be less mud opportunity with some nice rims?
Anyone know if there's some OBDII-like sender I can use with the Torque app? I'd like to have a visual on all the things happening...
Thanks to JWADE for following up on my SF97 forms. I received them today after over 4 months. Purchased MAY 13, the DLA signed the forms JULY 06, and today SEPTEMBER 14 I received the SF97 forms via FedEx.
Of course I'm disappointed with the length of time it took to receive the documents...
20 minutes of driving around the property before measuring all the temps. You can really see the air dryer doing its job. And the driveline stayed nice and cool.
Anyone else use Diesel Kleen? It seems to smooth out the engine a bit. A noticeable, good difference.
Happy Weekend.
Been waiting for my SF97 for THREE AND A HALF MONTHS
I bought an M1078 in mid-May from a Bragg auction on IP. That's 3.5 months of waiting for the SF97. I've been told a couple times that it's signed and will be sent "soon". Still nothing. I paid for the truck, auction fees, taxes, and SF97...
Good to be busy. I didn't realize you are answering customer service questions here. I'm still waiting on my SF97 from 05/13/2015. Any idea when I might receive it?
Thanks a million. Keep selling the cool stuff!
KansasBobcat and Daybreak are right about the surge brakes. There's no groove on the flip side of the lunette so the surge lever will be stuck. I flipped the lunette behind my 1078 to level it perfectly but I don't need to worry about no brakes behind that thing. I'd tow it empty behind my...
I was told the gov agency is the delay in sending out the SF97's. It's been 3 months. Anybody else experience this much delay or is it just my bad luck? I've spoken with the selling agency a couple times and they told me both SF97's would be sent in a day or two. Then, the next week, I...
Gichner Mobile Facility - HEAVY
These older Gichner Mobile Facility containers are heavy. If you get one from the 80's - 90's, you'll notice the plate says 16,000 pounds. I've never personally weighed one but the older ones are MUCH heavier than the newer aluminum builds. The one I...
Welcome to the group! Yours looks like it's already flipped - mine is normal in the down position (for HMMWV). I recently picked up an M1101 from Fort Bragg and flipped the lunette ring to the UP position. Thought it was going to be a big deal but did it by hand in less than a minute. The...
Bikeman dropped off my M1101 trailer last week. THANKS!
I flipped the lunette ring so the trailer is level behind the M1078. Tows great and made a successful trash run today. Note: When the lunette is flipped, there's no notch for the emergency-pull brake lever so the lunette cannot slide...
Great minds think alike?
lol. I searched for that video before I posted it. Maybe it wasn't indexed yet. I'll need to make a video titled "M1078 Dirt" since I have plenty to work with around here.
Cheers!
Dave
THANK YOU! Thanks to Eric (bikeman) for recovering my M1078 from Fort Bragg and transporting it to my house. It was great to have the truck show up at my doorstep exactly when expected AND to get some of the knowledge from someone very familiar with LMTV PMCS and everything else I wanted to...
Well, I did it now. I won an M1078 at a Fort Bragg auction and need to get it back to my house 85 miles from Fort Bragg.
Does any experience person want to go inspect it with me and drive it back to my house? Or does anyone want to transport it? I'm new to the military LMTVs but have...
