Help me buy this deuce, problem ?

The cover is laced on, have not removed it yet. Will the year be stamped on the frame rail or another ser#? Also, one of the interior data plate pics says "M35A2", interesting ? Thank you all for your continuing help.

Help me buy this deuce, problem ?

Why titled as a1952? The reg. matches the ser.# on the dash plate? And why are the headlights at the bottom of the light area, instead of the top?Can this be reversed? Any idea what engine this is?

Help me buy this deuce, problem ?

Cant read the data plate on the engine very well, but it says Hercules Multifuel and I was able to make out 134 h.p.. What engine is this? Hopefully not the LDS427. Hopefully the registration and the ser# matching definitely proves it is a 1952. Is this an M35A2?

Help me buy this deuce, problem ?

Ya know , I kinda wondered about that too. I have not seen the title, but he assures me the truck is tagged and titled, and my deuce knowledge is not strong enough to know any different. The flyer that is on the truck's window also says 1952, but it definitely looks like an M35A2. Could it be...

Help me buy this deuce, problem ?

Soooo, is the general consensus that the IP is more than likely okay, just a fuel delivery/fuel quality to the IP is the issue

Help me buy this deuce, problem ?

It is currently tagged and titled in NC. It is not bobbed, just running single tires out back ( I could have remembered the tire size wrong, they are the taller michelins with the aggressive block pattern ). I don't think the seller has the time or interest in working on it, just wanted to get a...

Help me buy this deuce, problem ?PICs up..BOUGHT IT TODAY!! I looked at a 1952 M35A2 today, it has the hercules engine with the D turbo, while driving the engine would sometimes hesitate on constant throttle ( like someone turning a light switch off and then on,very quickly), and a couple of...

    Roscommon charging problem...

The "gen2" bulb base was corroded, and probably never activated gen 2 in 24 volt form. I cleaned the base, the light comes on with igniton, goes out when running, and putting out 13.4 volts!

    Roscommon charging problem...

Mudman: I have never had dash idiot lights 24 or 12 volts. I do recall one of the "gen" lights flickering at a low idle, that went away once given a tap of the go pedal ( back when it was a 24 system). I am wondering if gen 2 has always had a problem, but when I had 2 it seemed to get by on just...

    Roscommon charging problem...

I am checking on the alternator and at the batteries. I don't have any idiot lights on at all, with just key on, or running.

Flywheel/rear main seal tips..trying to give back a little

I recently had to change my flywheel. Instead of dropping the whole unit, I put 2- four inch long bolts in the bottom 2 holes betwwen the engine/tranny. Removed the 4 crossmember bolts and dropped the driveshafts at the diffs only, while a jack supported the assembly at the crossmember. After...

    Roscommon charging problem...

Roscommon charging problem...Update.. fixed it! I followed the directions to the letter. I thought my alternator was bad, it checked at 14.7 volts on a testing machine, but on the truck , I only have 12.1 volts. The guy at the parts store said sometimes a bad bulb in the dash idiot lights can...

    IP timing help...please

Can someone quicklink me that section of the TM's, I have terrible luck/skill at finding info in the tm's. Also, if the old pump was removed ,and the new pump was turned to line up ,(not the engine), shouldn't everything be the same?

    IP timing help...please

Okay, I just put on a new starter, did the Roscommon 12 volt conversion, put in a new flywheel, new AC60 glow plugs, a rebuilt I.P. & injectors from badger diesel ( felt like an in frame restoration). I am having hard starting until warm, heavy fuel smoke under throttle ,and the engine dies when...

    Need help on bolt size

I just pulled the flywheel in about 2.5 hours ( and I am an average home mechanic), I used 4" long bolts and the tranny slid far enough staight back to allow room to get the bolts out of the flywheel/crankshaft. Everything looks lined up perfect, hanging on the bolts, what an easy way compared...

    Need help on bolt size

I am not sure if there is enough room either, thought that I could tilt the whole drivetrain down a little to gain clearance. Thanks for the thread info, it will save me a trip back to town in the morning.

    Need help on bolt size

It worked..tranny tip inside I am pulling my tranny in my 1009 tomorrow. The flywheel has a bald spot. My plan is to put longer bolts in the bottom 2 holes , and with a transmission jack, slide the tranny straight back enough to remove the flywheel while the tranny stays lined up. I am at work...
